Mr. Pen- Masking Tape, 0.6 inch, 3 Pack, 3 x 55 Yards, Beige

I bought this to make cheap and easy to remove labels for my paint cases. I have many several bottles of hobby paints, loosely organized in a dozenish paint cases. With this tape I can make and remake labels on these otherwise indistinguishable series of cases. They are the perfect width for this task, and since my paint addiction isn't going away anytime soon, they will be helping sort this mess for years to come.

I LOVE MR. PEN PRODUCTS. This tape is genuinely the best. I use it for everything. It doesn’t take paint up. It’s super strong. High recommend.

Why did I just discovered this tape? There's masking tape all over the place, but a very special needs is masking tape that can be used by artists to block and mask areas on paper, and which... once the paint is dry, can be removed without the tape lifting chunks of papers. I've been creating artwork for 50 years and have always suffered the latter. This tape is magical! It truly blocks the wet paint and then, once dry, easily lifts off the paper! This sounds so casual, but it is not! If you are an artist looking for tape, forget expensive Miskit (hard to lift) - this is it!!!

Update: I have found an excellent use for this tape if you are a pattern maker. I use it for tracing paper, taping up reference photos (without damaging them, and for large pieces of thin 'medical paper' (the big rolls of thin paper that you can use for drafting large patterns, tracing, or for medical tables). It holds my sewing patterns together, then often tears off with little damage if I move the sheets around (e.g. Planning and moving darts). And its very easy to mark over with pencil or ink so the marks are very clear and clean. Its still thumbs-down for stretching watercolor paper as the tiniest bit of heat or water ruins the adhesive, but for holding delicate paper down temporarily, its fantastic. Original: I have tried this tape on several different pieces so far and it inevitably loses adhesion within the first real wetting. If the paper begins to buckle at all, the seam pops. And if you use a blow drier with any level of heat, it doesn't even try to hold, just gone. * Granted, all the masking tape brands I've tried do this to some degree it seems. Though I have no use for this to hold my watercolor paper, I have found its useful for plenty of other tasks, like taping a layer down for tracing a design, securing a material onto my cricut mats, and so on. Anything that is delicate enough that you don't want to damage it, but which will have very little stress added (eg. water, heat...) like taping a reference photo up, it works very well for. No residue, clean peel, easy to tear, etc. Just not a durable enough adhesive for my purposes.

I’ve been buying the pink tape to use as a tamper seal on my packaged sweets, it’s amazing, strong and unphased by condensation that the ice cooler inevitably creates. The color pink, for whatever reason, was unavailable so I got the “white” it’s not white so I was super bummed. Just know the white is not white… but as for the strength and quality of the tape, perfect 👌

This is a economical crafters, masking, lable tape. Not really good to use for painting as it will peel existing or newer latex off walls, cabinets etc. I used for sealing large tile grout lines for quick application of multiple layers of sealant. Tape is good for NON Critical use. EdHead DIY God.

Fantastic price will buy again

I see a lot of people state the product is not white and what I received was an off white tape and for my purposes, that is just fine. The tape adheres nicely, you don't get much bleed through and it is easy to remove. If left on too long, it can be a bit tricky to remove and tear some paper. To me, that is just user error. I like that it is a pack of 3 and there is a substantial amount on each roll. I bought the 1/2" size and use it to keep my paper adhered to my art board and give me 1/4" boarder. I can see this tape being used for a multitude of other crafts that simply require tape.

Based on the description, I had hoped to use this as a lower cost replacement for lab tape. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing more than thin, standard masking tape, with extremely poor adhesion (even before use, the tape is already unspooling by itself!). I expect to trash whatever I bought. Lesson learned: just buy trusted brands from reliable sellers, in future. I would recommend that anyone reading this review avoid buying this tape, and treat other reviews of this product with a large pinch of salt.

Exactly the type of tape I was looking for. Sticky but not permanent when using vellum.

Very easy to mask border on my Studio Series Mixed Media Pad (60 heavyweight sheets) purchased from Amazon. The tape did not damage the paper and adhesion was still good and I could re-use the tape on another sheet the following day.

It seals well, so there is no paint seeping. However when I pulled it off, it tore the top layer off the watercolour paper. Its a good product, but be very careful when removing.
