How do you measure monocular near pd at 40 cm?

It is directly converted by the button, that is, the interpupillary distance is measured as before, and then press the PD button, it will display the data of 30CM, and press it again to get the data of 40CM

Does this actually measure PD at multiple distances, or are the non-infinity measurements calculated by computer?

Our interpupillary distance meter can measure the interpupillary distance at many distances. If you are a handicraft maker and need to work frequently with eyes and hands kept at a distance of 30cm(11.8inch), you can set the distance to 30, and then measure the distance between the interpupillary distances to process glasses. It means that you can measure the interpupillary distance when the eyes look at different distances. If you need to measure the interpupillary distance between myopic eyes to equip myopia glasses, you can choose infinity. We generally default to measuring at infinity.

Will this device measure distance pd or reading pd or an intermediate? how do you interpret the results to order progressive lenses?

It is the PD distance. In addition, the progressive lens has nothing to do with the interpupillary distance meter, it depends on your own needs~ Looking forward to your order.
