These work great, are easy to setup, easy to program and perform perfectly all the time.
If you need a timer for whatever reason, these are the best. I have so many of these and I use them all over our home for turning lights on and off. Well of course that's what they're for, right? Ever set up a Christmas tree, get it plugged in and then when it was bedtime you struggled to reach the outlet to unplug those lights? I know I have. Sure, you can buy one of those step on switches that you plug your light strings into. But these make it so much easier to control and setup. There's a small learning curve to get it loaded onto your home internet, but once you've done one the rest are a breeze. Yup, your internet. No it's not going to slow it down and no it's not going to create issues with other wifi connected devices. In my home, I use not only these outlets, but I also use the wall switches, both single and three way switches. Also use the outlets that are meant for being outside in the weather from this same company. And they all work perfectly. Just to give you an idea I have at one time, mainly during the Holidays, I have at least 15 of these outlets around inside my home. Add into that 4 wall switches and another 4 outdoor weather resistant plugs. Take all those along with laptops, phones, speakers, tv's, tablets and I forget what else and I have zero issues with my 500GB internet speed. As for the plugs, they connect to your internet quickly, easily, install the app on your phone, laptop, tablet whatever to set them up and your good to go. Program them anyway you need, on at dusk, off at dawn, on or off at any time of day or night any number of days you want, and they work flawlessly. The outlets I have outside work no matter the weather, they're just as durable as you need. We have one that's located 60-70 feet outside, from our home and we can easily control it from inside our house. Did you leave the house and leave something plugged into a timer you didn't really want to have come on when you're not home? Just go into the app and turn it off, from wherever you are. Honestly I can't say enough good things about these plugs. The only scary part is when you have several of them scheduled to turn on at one certain time, like say dusk and all of sudden you're walking around and click, click, click, lights are coming on everywhere. Oh, and if your internet goes down, you won't have control of them through the app. But you can walk up to any plug, push the button on the side and it'll turn on or push the toggle on the light switch it'll still turn on. And they don't lose their programing, if the internet's not available, they will still turn on and off just as though they were connected to the internet. Then when your internet connection returns, they automatically reconnect, just like any other device you might have.

Believe the Hype!
Omg, I can’t believe I struggled with another brand, frustratingly setting them up after a few moves and didn’t know these existed! The Kasa smart plugs couldn’t have been easier to setup, literally took 10 minutes to set up 4 units! This is after struggling for 2 hours the other night setting up my previously used smart plugs, which had been a pain on the past 3 moves! I gave up and donated them to charity! Ordered a 4-pack of these smart plugs and won’t look back! The app is very user friendly. I travel for work, so the schedule feature is important to me. I have already tested the schedule and these also have an away feature (away turns them on and off at random times during a time period you specify), worked like a breeze!

Unbelievably Reliable
These things are unbelievably reliable. I never leave reviews, but as I was going to buy a few more I realized: I have had these for about five years and have never ONCE had an issue with them. They stay connected to Wi-Fi and are instantly responsive. I use these with Home Assistant, and they work 100% locally, meaning no internet connection is required. I tried using Wemo switches and plugs (that were 2x-3x the price) and they were just plain unreliable.I have several that are in "harsher" areas, like my garage and back porch. Those are the same: Rock-solid reliable.Cannot recommend these enough.

We love ours
We have several of these that we've used for about three years now, and they've never failed us. They're easy to setup and never lose connection with your wi-fi. We use ours with Google Home, but I imagine they're just as easy with Alexa. It's great to be able to turn them off and on remotely, say, when we're on vacation. FWIW, we also have the outdoor version of these that we use during the holidays, and they're great too! Kasa seems to be a reliable brand, and we would not hesitate to buy these again. They've never let us down.

No Energy Monitoring over Matter
I've had these running controlling 2 sets of fish tank lights, and a fan. Out of the box, I was able to connect them straight into Home Assistant using Matter without using another app, pretty much plug and play, which is great! The downside of doing it this way, and the reason I took off a star, is that energy monitoring doesn't seem to be supported over Matter. They're very responsive, with no noticeable delay when controlled locally by Home Assistant, and I've had no connectivity issues.I did try one with the native app, and energy monitoring did seem to work there, but I'd really prefer to use Matter and do everything locally. They would get 5 stars if they got an update that enabled energy monitoring locally over Matter.

I use kasa cameras with the App.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I use kaza cameras with the app. These adapters were easy to set up. Once you get the signal into the phone and through the wifi you're good to go. Even though I have to turn the power off to the adapter at times. Once you turn it on adapter hooks back up really quick. No issues so far. I just like a simple system that works and this is what I got.

Convenient for out-of-reach plugs
I have several of these I use for lamps that are in inconvenient places, hooked into my Alexa. And when I set up a Christmas tree and use inside holiday lights, I use them for that, too. (Meaning I can easily set them on an Alexa routine to turn on and off.)

Great product, 2025 price vs 2024 is silly
Great product purchased this set 2xs in the past, 42.99 total, saved a lot of money being able to control the vampire devices in the home. not sure why one of them is listed for 54.99 at the time of this review, and 39 for an amazon prime deal (What???)Either way, keep your eye on the price- they should not be this price even with the savings. it is silly.
