Requires some creativity for different uses
It is super scary to drill a hole in a really expensive stainless-steel Jerry-can, but I done did it!It would have been easier to get a NPT weldable bung, but I have little confidence in my Tig welding ability, so I got this thing. The spout of a NATO style jerry is a bit weird, having a breather tube in it (to stop the glug), so while I found the really long ratchet extensions and U-joints without trouble, I had to grind a relief into a 1" socket. Used a step drill to make the hole, my finger through said hole to nudge the nut into place, then a flashlight to guide the socket ever so gently onto the nut.It freaking worked - and I didn't mess up the horridly expensive Jerry Can!They don't sell the true NATO style Wavian in 304 Stainless on Amazon - I found it elsewhere. This trick should work fine for pretty much any container that will admit a 1" socket - you can buy 20 miles of extensions if you are so inclined (though that's nuts).Happy! Now I have a high-quality water-Jerry to go with my Fuel-Jerry, and I don't have to pull it off of the rack to get a drink! :)

Perfect Spigot: How to install to a 55-gallon drum to create an amazing Rain Barrel!
See my attached photos to see how I installed this spigot.1st of all, I wanted the stainless steel spigot because it contains no lead compared to the other spigots which do have lead. The handle is also tungsten I believe, not 100% sure, but it's not plastic. How to install: I initially thought I would tape an adjustable wrench with the inner part of the spigot attached to the adjustable wrench, until I realized that the adjustable wrench would not fit through the bung hole.So I got a 1 inch wrench and taped it to the end of our push broom handle. The 1 inch wrench fit through the bung hole. But first, after I drilled the 7/8 inch hole at the bottom, I taped the inner part of the spigot to the end of the pole, lowered it to the bottom to match up with the outside spigot part. I then got the outside spigot started to connect to the inner part. But it is not a tight seal since the inner spigot part keeps spinning around so it won't tighten further. So this is then when I taped the 1 inch wrench to the end of the pole, as shown in the photos, then put the bottom end of the wrench around the inner spigot part. This then held the inner spigot part firmly so I could tighten the outside part without the inside part continually spinning. Since I was now able to hold the inner part firm, I was then able to create a super tight, high-quality seal as I tighten the outside spigot part.On a Side Note: To make this rain barrel work to properly collect the water, I used collapsible or extendable rain gutter extension to go into the bung hole of the rain barrel to create the perfect rain barrel from a 55-gallon drum. that can still also be used as a water barrel. And at the end of the rain gutter extension I placed a screen filter and place that into a plastic funnel I got from the Dollar Store to ensure all water goes straight into the barrel without any spillage and the screen pre-filters debris such as leaves and twigs etc, from entering into the barrel.

Very difficult to install in a rain barrel
I have installed a couple of different rain barrel spigots and this model was by far the most difficult to install. Once you get it correctly installed in your rain barrel, it looks and works great.

Sturdy spigot that is easy to assemble.
I got this spigot to replace a broken plastic one from a rain barrel. Seems sturdy and heavy, and shouldn't break like the original cheap spigot the rain barrel came with.I accidentally ordered a smaller size than what originally came with the barrel (by accidentally what I really mean is I didn't bother going out to measure the hole). Luckily for me I still had an original gasket that I used alongside the one that came with this spigot and it creates a complete seal - be sure to measure.Installing it was easy enough. The barrel is longer than my arm so it wasn't ideal but thankfully the spigot was easy to set up or extension tools would've been needed. The only thing that may pose an issue is the heaviness of the spigot. My rain barrel is collapsible with soft sides and I'm afraid it may cause a tear in the barrel. It shouldn't be an issue once the barrel fills up and is sturdier. For now I need to be gentle when opening the valve. This isn't necessarily an issue with the product itself, just something to consider when deciding if it is right for your application.

Perfect for DIY rain barrel
The spigot was incredibly easy to install. I just used a jab saw to cut a hole the approximate size of the spigot into a trash can. Then installed the spigot as pictured on the box and it was ready to go. In less than 10 minutes I have a functional rain barrel to fill up my watering can. I couldn’t be happier. As I expand my water collecting I will definitely purchase more.

Decent Quality and Easy to install
This is easy to install so long as you have inside access. It appears to be of decent quality and thus far we have had zero issues with it! Will be getting a second in the near future for sure!

Best in its class!
This valve is beautifully made of solid food grade 304 stainless steel... I got it to mount in a 5-gallon plastic bucket for dispensing liquid organic plant fertilizer solution. It doesn't leak, shuts off almost instantly, and because it's 304 stainless, I'm not worried about any chemical corrosion or contamination... why would you ever pay more to buy a brass or plastic alternative?
