Mirrors shake violently in the housings
The solid metal bases are nice and the housings are stable, but the mirror part vibrates around in the housings quite a bit with regular road bumps and dips and just generally going down the road. It can be annoying watching everything behind you shaking all over the place. If the mirrors were stabilized better in the housings, then they would be similar to OEM.

Great Replacement for a 96 Tahoe
All metal bases! These replaced some cheesy plastic based mirrors l bought a few years ago and started flopping ln the mirror and quit responding to mirror switch. These are high quality and fit my 96 Tahoe pretty good.The mirrors arrived a few days earlier than expected. Mirrors were packed very tight in the box and the mirrors were ln individual boxes. The mirrors are also packaged ln blue bags and do come with a weather seal and 3 10mm nuts.If you think yours are shaking. You probably did not get all 3 10mm nuts completely tight. It is a bit tricky and you need the correct tools. I recommend a socket ranch for the bottom one toward the front and 1/4 medium depth 10mm socket on a wobble extension for the other two.Tip: Loosen the nuts then push a leather work glove in the door below the screws to fill the door gap. This will keep you from chasing them ln side the door and wasting your day. l also use a magnet. Loosen them to the end of the screw then attach magnet and keep turning, lf lt falls on the glove u still have them.
