I discovered that some of my plastic shelf holders that had come with my cabinets (35 yrs ago) had broken when one of the shelves actually came down on top of another. Thankfully, nothing was broken. I hurried to check Amazon to find new holders. I wanted metal this time, and I found these. They are not the same style, but my husband measured and said they should work. They were just a little snug, which is what I want if it's to hold a shelf. I pushed them in, and they work just fine. Be sure you get accurate measurements if ordering pegs. These metal pegs should last forever.

So pleased with these shelf pins. The local home improvement store only sold the 1/4 inch size in plastic, which I feared might not hold up to the shelf weight. I found these metal ones on Amazon and they fit perfectly in the pre drilled holes of the 2nd hand armoire I am repurposing. They appear to be well made. I only need 8, yet these are a great value for the money. I was concerned that the peg might be too short, but it fits so snugly that I don’t expect that to be an issue.

It works well on my bathroom wall cabinet. It holds sturdy: I can place many items in the wall cabinet.

We bought a new house and the builder installed shelving using plastic clips and several broke within days. In addition to the lacking strength, these plastic clips were a nightmare to get off, especially the ones installed upside down. Once those plastic clips were removed, it was SO much easier to install these. They went in quickly and provide significantly more support. Inexpensive, easy, strong, effective. Hold very well and I would definitely recommend.

These are well made, but I’m not really sure how you write a review for a bookshelf support bracket… I will say, make sure you get the size exactly right – I bought the wrong size and had to re-order. Metric/imperial hole diameters lead to brackets that have similar but incompatible sizes, and unfortunately this isn’t one of those things where “close enough” works…

Much better than the plastic ones that were in the bookcase/liquor cabinet. No more broken bottles!

As noted by others, this does not fit snug in a 1/4" hole. Will be returning.
