New and Improved Hillbilly Half Finger Gloves are more durable, made with goatskin and double stitched with heavy duty nylon thread. Convenient half length fingers allow you to do all you need to without taking your gloves off.

These are huge!!!
I am a 27 year old woman. I ordered a small and recieved a small. Just one problem the size small is HUGE. Maybe they are fine for a small lumberjack or the hulk, but not for my tiny lady hands! 💔 Its too bad -my search for wrist guards continues. 😭 That being said, these guards appear high quality and well made.

For narrow hands: DON'T size up
Looks & feels sturdy. Can't rate wear/performance since I haven't worn them yet.Stating the obvious: these are sized for typical (guy) hands. I have big hands for a woman, but mine are much longer than broad. Reviews said size up, which would have made me an XL (see pics). I went with L, after talking myself out of M. I should have gone with M. Across the palm, they are loose enough that they might get caught in things and I will have to be careful gripping.I'm used to wearing too-big (full finger) gloves so the fingers aren't short, so I may end up just wearing these instead of sending them back. Not down-rating for this because I think the glove sizing is probably typical, my hands are just a bit weird. Sharing in case anyone else is in the same boat.

Inadequate protection over the knuckle
I used these with a onewheel and though they provide decent protection for the wrist, they do not protect at the knuckle. There is a thin strip of leather but most of the glove upper is super thin fabric that does not protect your skin.I don't expect these to be miracle workers, but a single fall passed a fair amount of damage through to my left upper hand. I suggest looking for wrist guards that include stronger protection for the upper hand.

EXTREMELY (maybe too) durable - break-in period needed!
Hands down, my favorite wrist guards (no pun intended!)These things are built to take a beating, and hold up like no other wrist guards I've previously had (I just bought this 2nd pair). The real goat leather is amazing - it is thick, tough, and can withstand pretty much anything. I also really like how only the undersides of the wrist guards have a plastic piece, unlike other ones which also have plastic on the top part. This enables for a more "natural" hand position and may be safer when falling hard. In fact, I can confidently say these saved me from a broken wrist when I fell trying to roller skate; pretty much all of my upper body weight went into my (subconsciously) extended right wrist. No injury was received other than it being on the "edge" of slightly sprained. They are very ergonomic, are semi-breathable, and have comfortable fabric. I just need to remember to flex my wrist down when strapping these so the side seam does not "dig in" to my skin.Only one little piece of cautionary advice: On my left one, it doesn't slide as easily as the right one. This means if you slam hard on that one and it does not slide, this could potentially cause an arm injury. I suspect this will subside, however, as I continue to wear them over time and break them in. I have "intentionally" started to break these in by mimicking a forward fall on a cement floor (with these snugly attached, of course). They tend to slide a little better after doing this a few times.Would buy again over any other brand any day, despite these minor annoyances, as they are still far better than anything else I've used.

Splint broke on first fall
I purchased these to use when I ride myOnewheel XR and they do their job and save my wrists from injury. BUT a splint in my one gloves broke in half after a mild fall on pavement. I fell and kind of slapped the ground. Perhaps it saved my wrist although I’m a veteran action sports athlete and this fall seemed mild at worst. Having said that I’m still able to use the pair as the wrist wraps act like those old Harbinger weight lifting gloves and provide ample support even w a half broke splint. The stitching on the fingers has come undone on two fingers after moderate use so these are not that durable in my opinion but get the job done. Unsure if I will purchase again, would prefer more durability.

Great glove- small fits my lady hands
These seem really great. I am a small handed female. I used to wear the “Triple Eight-Hired Hands” brand ($59) for skating, usually in a M, because they run small. ( see comparison picture) they were sold out so I wanted to try these. They seem really good quality. They gave a very supportive wrist plate but unlike the Triple8, they don’t also have a back plate. (Not sure if that is important to you or not.) I did end up finding some triple eights so I may return these, but if I need some again and can’t find the Triple 8, these small Hillbillys are a great sub!

Second pair in two years, will keep buying
I own the full fingered variety of these also, and I prefer these during the relatively warmer months here in Seattle. These things are tough, comfortable and serious protection from wrist injury. When you're over 30 and support yourself and your family in a vocation where typing is a critical skill, these guards put to ease any stress about those minor injuries that a skater knows they must deal with.I don't think these guards are appropriate for the high-speed down-hilling activities long boarders might be in to. The full finger variety probably provides the protection required for that kind of deal.I purchased my second pair because I couldn't find my original pair as the weather warmed up, and after two years my grip tape had started wearing out the threads around one of the thumbs, and despite that I'm certain I could still have used them effectively for another two years.

Great except for the fit...
I followed the basic size chart and regardless of small or medium sizes, the webbing between the thumb and index finger are tight. The small is still loose on the 4 other fingers even though the size measurement says my hand is too big for it (I measure right at 2.7 inches when I measure my "middle finger from the webbing between the adjacent finger to the tip of the finger"}I'm just going to stick with the medium because the webbing by the thumb is more comfortable and since the other fingers are loose regardless. These gloves are also on the cheaper end of "recommended" wrist guards from what I've seen online and unless I want to pay at least double the the price of these, they will do for now.Build quality otherwise seem ok as well.

Great
Great product and great price for the quality. Better than the two other flimsy ones I bought at the sports store for half the price. Get what you pay for. Glad I decided to invest in these ones. Nice fit. Holds my wrist very snugly. The allowable range of motion is enough, but limited enough to protect from injury from fall. Can't wait to wipe out!

great fit + protection
bought them to protect my wrists while e-boarding, love them. Size large fit me well. It takes a couple of minutes to put them on. Great that the fingers are exposed for phone touchscreens, etc. Great for fall season, not sure about summer/warmer weather.

Poor quality , poor fit , do not buy
These fit so weird, don’t order them, if they were a 1$ at value village I’d still leave them there due to the way they are manufactured. Amazons usual Chinese mass produced garbage.

Well made
Solid construction. Fit a bit larger than expected and would be nice to have finger loops to help in getting them off but overall a great product.
