Makes awesome saffron rice!
For inexpensive saffron, this stuff’s really good!!! Actually prefer it to McCormick’s. With 2 large pinches I make 6 cups saffron rice, which turned out smooth, rich, warm, golden, and buttery in flavor. Stamen are short to tiny pieces. Tested them in hot water. No bleeding or unnatural dark color, which means they weren’t dyed. Absolutely worth the purchase!

THIS IS NOT classic(Crocus) Saffron, but derived from the Safflower.I does to the trick for coloring and slight flavor. I did get this more for the coloring properties than the flavor properties so it does suit my needs.
