1x for Liftmaster Remote for 81LM Garage Opener

When I received the remote, it was a model GD-R19 instead of a model 81LM that I ordered. I was initially concerned that it might not work on my garage door opener. However, I followed the simple easy instructions to program the unit and it worked like a charm. I am very satisfied with the product I received.

Easy to program

It works and affordable. The key to selecting the correct one is to know the frequency of your unit. The programming light on the motor unit dictates which remote you will need. It was a breeze to program.

Could not find my old opener remote. Stores seem to only carry newer ones that would not work with my old opener. This remote came quickly, was easy to program and works like a charm. Saved me from having to buy a new garage door opener.

This garage door remote opener has an already installed Button Cell battery installed, which is not stated in product info, nor does it state as to what size button cell battery is needed to replace it with. Do Not purchase the Energizer A23 batteries shown as purchased with the remote, like my original remotes used. I needed a replacement remote, and this is the only place I could find what I need, yet it wasn't what I expected. I have no other choice at this time to keep it. I also noticed one customer couldn't get the remote opened, nor seen how to open the remote to place a battery. I needed to use a small screwdriver in the area that has a fingernail imprint to pry it open, which I didn't need to, but that when I found it already has the Button Cell Battery in it. I haven't had a good experience with Button Cell Batteries lasting very long and need frequent replacement. I'm disappointed with the quality, lack of full product info description and question how long it will last. I'll eat the cost of A23 battery purchase, it's not worth the hassle for me to return the A23 batteries.

This remote is for a garage door installed about 1995. The website was very complete in the information about which one would work. I did have the model number, so that was a good starting point. It literally took less than 1 minute to sync the opener with the remote. It also came with a battery already inserted. The garage door business I originally went to for this remote said it would be $75, so told me to look online since this was an older model and would be cheaper on line. They were right!

I needed a second d remote for my daughter to use to open the garage. Wasnt sure I would be able to to find one. I came upon this remote control, ordered it and when it came it was easy to connect.
