And I like the sound quality better on this one. It has a better low-end response than the Rode mini. The deadcat works as expected. Also, the base is pretty sturdy. Doesn't feel like it will break or have any issues holding the mic. Totally worth the money.

I tried this on two phones, laptop, and Sony mirrorless camera. This audio is really not that great. It is on par with my built in cell phone mics and worse than my Sony camera built in mic. I even made sure that the phones were recording from the mic by lightly tapping on the mic and making sure it was picked up by the recording app. They also said they were recording from external mic. I was trying to avoid buying a Rode but I guess I should just take the plunge and do it anyways because this thing is just not up to the task. The only reason I have it three stars is because it wasn't DOA.

Very affordable price, easy to set up, sound very clear, before I bought a similar product, after a few days broken, but this quality is very good.

We haven’t found any improvement inside outside close far from the microphone built into my iPhone 6. Will try it a bit more before I return it - but at this stage this thing is garbage.

I was Completely shocked with how well my videos sounded once I started using this microphone. Great price and great quality!

The microphone works great but the images in the product description are deceiving if you're going to use it with a smartphone. The advertisement made me believe that an adapter comes with the mic in order to be mounted or clipped on to a smartphone. The other thing is to check with the phone specs in order to utilize the mic input. Purchase an adapter since my phone doesn't use a conventional headphone connector.

It works pretty well

Tried using this on my Sony camera, cell phone, and laptop, but it wouldn't be read by any of the devices. Tried turning it on before and after I plugged it in, but nothing seemed to bite. There's a reason why it doesn't cost so much, so I'm not taking a big hit, but I'm still disappointed.
