NEIL ALLYN Mens Tuxedo Shirt Poly/Cotton Laydown Collar 1/4 Inch Pleat

I was concerned about the size and quality based on other reviews. I have also ordered some tuxedo shirts from other Amazon vendors and had to return them. This shirt arrived in a bag similar to what you may find in a department store. It was not in a vacuum sealed bag like the others. Shirt is true to size and was a perfect fit. Quality is good as well. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I read a lot of the reviews of this shirt. The good ones and the bad ones. My experience is that the shirt was great for the small price I paid. It is a typical cotton blend shirt (pretty comfortable) with generally good workmanship. It can be buttoned or used with studs (cheap plastic ones are provided but I bought a nice set to use). The bad reviews...about the cheap studs or the quality of the shirt or whatever...seem to be from people who don't have a clue what to expect for less than $20. I wore the shirt (with the new set of studs) to a black tie event and it was perfect. Comfortable. Attractive. Exactly what I wanted. I would definitely buy it again. Only thing...it is not a tailored or slim fit shirt. So it fit a bit big on me in the torso. But it was under my tux jacket so no one could tell.

I needed a new tuxedo shirt for an upcoming wedding. I wear a larger neck size (19.5), and that leaves the body of the shirt very blousy. After tailoring and tapering the shirt body, the shirt fit was much nicer. The shirt came with a black plastic stud set which I didn’t use because I had my own set. Stud sets can be inexpensively purchased and really adds to the look of a tux.

Nice shirt but not slim fit as I hoped. Too roomy for me to wear, so it’s going back. If you don’t want slim fit or modern fit, this is a nice shirt. On me, it was a tent.

It had been some time since I've needed a formal shirt, and I don't wear them often, so I didn't want to spend too much money. This shirt was a good value at its price. I am a large man with long arms. I often have difficulty finding dress shirts that fit both my neck size (18.5) and sleeve length (37). It seems like manufacturers assume that if your neck is large, then you're short and fat; or if your arms are long, then you're thin. Not so with this Neil Allyn shirt. It fit me really well and I like the convertible cuff. I can wear cuff links, or button it if I choose. Very happy with the purchase.

While the product is listed as being available in half inch neck sizes, e.g., 16, 16.5, 17, 17.5, the product is made in neck sizes M, L, and XL. I ordered the 17 inch neck and received a shirt with an XL neck size, much too large. So I had to return it for a different size. The vendor should be more honest about what is shipped so the consumer can make the correct decision. The product itself is fine and reasonably priced, but it's just another example of caveat emptor, buyer beware.

I love wearing cufflinks so this fit the bill for that. I am disappointed that the shirt cuffs are not actually French cuffs, I've been disappointed before in my life. I attenf as many formal functions as I can afford and I needed a new shirt that would fit me properly, not disappointed on that regard.

Good fit and value

Fit was great. Nice fabric and classy looking.

The shirt was great in quality but the waist size did not meet expectations. One size larger the waist was great but the neck was too large. One size smaller and the reverse happened. Wish I could buy a shirt according to body size and not neck size.

Good value...well made

A little on the thin side as far as the material is, but it was only for one night. A nice looking shirt though.
