Nice Salt!
The salt itself has a very nice taste. I've been researching the benefits of this salt over other sea salts and I just had to try it out. It is supposedly rich in minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium and it is low in sodium as compared to other salts. This salt is actually from the sea and dehydrated by the sun, unlike other "Sea Salts" that are actually from ancient sea beds and should be more accurately name "Earth Salts'.

No microplastics and high mineral content found here.
I was kind of shocked to discover that sea salt contains microplastics and table salt is depleted of minerals.Baja Gold has needed minerals, tastes wonderful!, and is recommended by Sally Fallon Morrell. You get what you pay for - and this salt is expensive. I use it carefully, for instance, not in boiling pasta water, but yes in chili, etc.

Very good flavor
I see complaints on the wet or stickiness of this salt. I’ve used a lot of types of natural seas salts and often they are sticky or wet-like. This is pretty normal. They used to put uncooked rice in salt shakers, even in restaurants, to help with that issue long ago when I was a kid (I’m old). It’s not a salt I use in a grinder or a shaker over my plate of food but rather in cooking where I know the course chunks will dissolve well. It has a much more complex flavor profile that is missing in many sea salts (I don’t do iodized salt) and helps make by meals delicious.

Bought Coarse - Difficult to grind but delicious, not all crystalline some pieces look weird
I am all for the theory and reasoning behind this salt and trace minerals. Hell I feel even better after eating it for a few days to be honest. The price - OUCH - especially when you can get SEA-90 @ 5lbs for 27 or less if you buy more.Aside from that, the coarse salt is shockingly difficult to grind with an oxo softgrip grinder I got to go with this. It still works but needs shaking/grinding and will take much longer than normal. Not sure any other efficient way to get the coarse version into immediate use form. For cooking it wouldn't matter. The salt does have also organic compounds so I do sometimes see non salt looking circular things in the bag but am not completely thrilled seeing these as they make the salt "look" ununiform and less pure, especially for the premium price this shouldn't be the case as I don't see it as bad in my SEA-90.Otherwise this is the tastiest salt I've ever had! it's not as salty as any salt and really vamps up a more natural flavor from your foods and gives it a depth of flavor but will only be noticed if used and eaten directly on a food.

Pricey! But I don’t blame them. Due to free “lawlessness” market falsely calling it free.
Pricey! But I don’t blame them. Due to free “lawlessness” market, falsely calling it free. The most less sodium salt. Based on John video on YouTube, (search for different types of salt by john ocra) this salt got 75% sodium which makes it the best among others such celtic salt. I never trust grocery salt even if they said kosher and halal on it thousands of times. This salt is important in your kitchen. Don’t but it fine. Fine salt could be mixed with some other stuff. If you want it fine, use coffee grinder.

Best yet!!
I love salt. I have 5 different kinds next to my stove. This makes 6 & it's better than those carefully sought others (wld not have believed a better one was available). A genetic researcher turned me onto it, boy was he right. I cld care less about it's grindability w/this flavor.

Excellent flavor! And full of healthy minerals (electrolytes)...
This is the healthiest salt you can get... full of much needed minerals. And it tastes wonderful. Don't expect to use a salt shaker or grinder as the salt has a "wetness" to it. I put mine into glass jars with plastic lids (not sure you want to use metal). A good size pinch into drinking water provides much needed electrolytes.
