So far so good
I am always a bit worried about fads, but decided to try one of these out after hearing good things by a caterer friend. So far, it has been real nice to use. It is strange how well it keeps its surface after much use. Even though it feels like you could break it by dropping it on the floor, it is actually quite strong. I have been wary about using it with heat even though it is advertised safe, especially after reading a review where they said it gave the food a strange flavor. However, I have never had a need to use it in the oven so... I really have been looking for a downside and can t find one. Even though it is large, it is light and thin, and easy to handle. The amount of cutting board real estate is wonderful. However, if you have minimal counter space you may not want to get the largest one. It does not fit well in a reg size dishwasher. But it is easy to clean, so still not bad. I gave 5 stars because I find myself reaching for this one over all of my other cutting boards almost every time. And it seems to be quite durable thus far. Best cutting board available
We are a 2 chef (retired) family and we use our boards daily. We love these boards. We own very sharp Japanese knives which we sharpen once or twice a day with a steel followed by strapping. Believe me, these boards do not easily dull knives like plastic boards. As one other reviewer said, you can't use a lot of force while cutting up food and expect the board not to dull your knife. No material will allow you to do that. Proper cutting technique recommends using the knife blade to slice across the food items to cut it, not to push down or swing down with the knife to chop through food. If you do that, any surface will dull your knife. I'd also recommend hand washing. Dishwasher will warp the board and reduce the lifespan of the board significantly. Besides, the board is really too large for a normal dishwasher. We own 3 of these beauties for over 7 years now and as I said, we use them daily. Besides an occasional sanding, they look really good. Not new, but they certainly do not look like they have been used extensively for 7 years. Get these boards if you are a serious cook and want the best equipment to work on. Get a thick wood chopping board if you want to chop up food with a cleaver like they do in a Chinese BBQ place.

VERY DECEIVING POSTING
I have another one of these cutting boards and love it. I looked at the picture and scanned by the write up. I thought I was ordering 4 different sizes. I already have the 17X13, so I thought it would be great to have the others for smaller jobs. I thought that was a really good price, so I ordered. The merchandise came. I was shocked only to see 1 cutting board. After reading the post more clearly, thought they list a 17 1/2 X 13 and and 17.5 x 13, they don't list the others. They do list 2 sizes, which are the same basically. There was no drop down box for which size you like. I should have read more clearly, yet they also definitely should have proofread and definitely have changed the write up, not to mention show a picture with only 1 cutting board. I did not want to bother with arguing the point, but I hope by reviewing this someone might correct this problem. DON"T BE FOOLED!!!

Lifetime cutting/serving surface
Perfect for using good knives, having clean cutting surface, and even serving! A family member has had the same ones for many years, and on a recent visit it dawned on me that I should have bought them 20 years ago! Don't worry about scratches - it's just character. Flip it over if you want a pristine appearance. Leave it on the counter to slice your lunch meat, veggies and cheese. A quick wash in hot water and you are ready to serve snacks or do dinner prep. Makes a great cheese board. Put hot pots on it! If you want to store it, it takes up very little of the space your old cutting boards required. Dishwasher safe. Great Gift! I'm getting another one for the cooktop area.

Best Cutting Board
Epicurian always comes through and have always loved their cutting boards. They are almost indestructible. I bought 2 of them 5 years ago with rubber ends that keep it from moving around. This one does move around a bit, as it has no rubber feet (they make ones that do, just not in this size), not when cutting but wiping with a rag, it will move. Perfect size for what I need. I bought a different unknown brand first, for just a bit less but it was warped, no matter which side I placed it, it would not sit flat. Just stick with Epicurian and pay the small increase. You will have it for years after all.

Great cutting board!
I have had a smaller set of this brand/type for over 10 years and they still perform fantastic, no warping, no dulling of my knives, great serving boards. They clean easily and don't require the maintenance of a wood board nor are they subject to the warping that often happens to bamboo boards. That said, I needed a larger one for pizza and my new mezzaluma-style pizza cutter so I went looking for this brand. I've used it several times now and it's performing just as I'd hoped. You can put a hot pizza right from the pan onto the board, cut it up and enjoy. I still use these boards in the 2 smaller sizes for all my chopping and dicing. This brand and type of boards have become my go-to in the kitchen. I can put it in the dishwasher, but I usually just hand wash it.

I have two other sizes and love all of them
This is my third Epicurean product purchase. I have two other sizes and love all of them. I purchased different sizes and colors to have one for meat, one for everything else, and the scraper. My mother even bought one upon my recommendation and she said she likes it better than her other, more expensive, cutting boards. They are thin, yet sturdy. One of the best features to me is that they are dishwasher safe. While they do show some knife cuts after a while, they still hold up well and are very functional. As far as storing them, another great feature is that they are thin and not hefty like some other cutting boards so they take up less space and are not bulky/heavy.

Kitchen Workhorse
This is actually my second purchase of one of these boards. They are nothing fancy to look at, get slightly visually scuffed up with heavy use but not as rough-to-touch as similar plastic-y cutting boards... but... this thing is a workhorse in our kitchen. It has been used a couple times a week for several years and my kitchen and it is the first cutting board that I can get my husband to use without trying to sneak in uses of the glass cutting board (which dulls our knives). It is thin and space efficent, can be thrown in dishwasher when you have no energy to clean after, and can still look nice with just the tiniest bit of TLC. Buying a second one of these for our kitchen was a no brainier in our house. We love these these!

Un must have pour votre cuisine

Pratique

Schneidet man z.B.

Warping Is an Issue
I have used a larger format Epicurion board for a couple years without problem. A recent order of three (2 smaller sizes) has been disappointing. Within a month all of them have a warp and will only stay in place if I set them on a damp dishcloth. Not sure if the thinness is the issue or if the composite is different. I've put all in the dishwasher (as suggested by the manufacturer) and this particular dishwasher has no direct heat element. If I were to reorder, I'd avoid putting them in the dishwasher (but of course, that is inconvenient) to try keep them flat.
