I work at a TA in an infant school and also in the nursery. All the kids love these from the 2 year olds up to the 6 and 7 year olds. They are helpful when identifying emotions and start the conversation about how to manage feelings. They do eventually fall/get pulled off but are a great price to replace once a year or so

These are compact and useful, but we think "Tired" should have been included as a card.

My 4‑year‑old with selective mutism has found this emotion fan genuinely helpful. She often freezes when she’s overwhelmed and can’t speak or point, so I wasn’t sure how she would manage with it at first. But she’s taken to it beautifully. She uses the fan to show when she’s scared, worried, or unsure, and it’s helped her communicate feelings she can’t express verbally. It’s been especially useful during transitions and new situations, like swimming lessons, where she becomes distressed and needs support. The visuals are clear, simple, and not overwhelming, perfect for her sensory needs. It’s small enough to keep in her bag, and she reaches for it when she needs it. It’s made a real difference in helping her feel understood without pressure to speak. Recommended by my child's former therapist and these are amazing for helping children understand their emotions... Something many adults struggle with. They're great for when a child is upset and struggling to express themselves or just for a daily check-in, so I highly recommend!
