Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee & Espresso Maker by De'Longhi, Silver

I read all the reviews about this leaking or or breaking but it has been an absolute pleasure to own for the first month. We recently got back from a Europe vacation and this type of coffee maker was prevalent and we knew we had to get one. Stronger and better tasting coffee all around. No leaks or problems so far (knock on wood). The best thing I found was to buy the initial order of coffee pods and save the aluminum pods that make your favorite amount of coffee (the capsules are coded to use whatever amount of water that pod uses (usually the larger pods use the maximum amount of coffee) and buy the refill kit that stamps a new seal on the old capsule filled with your favorite coffee brand. It's time consuming but a great money saver and it still makes the crema froth om top! We bought the model with the titan water container to keep from filling so much but it's really not a big deal. I don't write a lot of reviews so that tells you how good I think this coffee maker is. The strength of coffee is so much better than the drip makers because it spins the capsule while the water is injected into the pod during the brewing cycle. It is not too loud or too bulky at all and it's so easy to use. The italian machines with the crank on handle and high pressure probably make even better coffee but at the expense of more cleanup afterwards. Don't hesitate if you're thinking of buying this coffee maker!

I am so obsessed with coffee that my personality is basically 80% caffeine and 20% talking about caffeine. This is now my THIRD Nespresso machine, which honestly feels less like a purchase and more like a continued long-term relationship commitment. And this Vertuo Plus by De'Longhi is BY FAR the best one yet. This machine makes coffee so fast it feels medically suspicious. I stumble into the kitchen looking like a haunted Victorian child, press one button, and 30 seconds later I’m holding a beautiful, hot, life-restoring cup of coffee with that fancy little crema layer that makes me feel richer than I actually am. The best part? ZERO mess. No grounds everywhere. No complicated brewing ritual. No cleaning process that requires the patience of a monk. Just insert pod, press button, receive happiness. The coffee tastes incredible too — smooth, strong, and consistent every time. My expensive coffee shop habit is now deeply threatened because this machine keeps producing café-level drinks while I’m still wearing pajamas and emotionally preparing for the day.

Nespresso vertuo plus is an amazing machine The quality of coffee & its crème is equal to some of the best cafe’s in town . The machine has a few do’s and don’ts , so read the directions well . The pods come in different sizes, strengths and flavors, so read up on the pods that fit your tastes best . Nespresso has quite a selection . Enjoy !

Purchased the Vertuo Plus to replace my 4 year old Vertuo Next that sprung a leak and I’m thrilled with my choice. I prefer its easy to open top and hotter brew which improves the flavor of my coffee.

Highly enjoyable coffee with foam. Totally worth the purchase. A wonderful treat in the morning, after lunch or any time of day. The machine works great and the coffee is delicious.

I've owned Vertuo machines before and love the coffee quality. Unfortunately, this unit was DOA - red light flashing, won't brew despite troubleshooting (reset attempts, descaling, etc). For a brand-new machine, this is unacceptable. The missing sample pods that were supposed to be included suggest this may have been a used or improperly handled unit. Returning and will buy direct from Nespresso going forward.

Best Coffee maker ever

I have had a Nespresso Virtuo for two years and have loved it, but because of developing arthritic in my hand, I have had a very difficult time pushing the lever to the left. With this machine, with only a touch, I can open it, and another touch, start brewing. My hands and I are exceedingly happy.

Gave this machine as a gift to a discriminating coffee drinker. . Recipient seems happy with it, used the included coffee samples ans said that coffee was very good.

Do NOT buy this machine.... after a few mere months, the brew head is leaking all over and Nespresso's customer service is totally lousy... I spent an hour with the technical specialist to run all kinds of tests - to no avail, end result = defective. Ok, fine, under warranty... I was promised a box delivered to my house within 24 hours for me to bring the machine to Canada Posts. 2 days later, no box.... callied back: getting the round around and told to call back later as they are too busy. They 'cannot' return call, and they 'cannot' leave a message to whoever is responsible to mail said box... It's a defective machine, under warranty....this is my 2nd and LAST Nespresso machines. The other one barely lasted 2 years. Do know that if you buy via Amazon - you are stuck to deal with Nespresso, you cannot return it to Amazon.

I got one cup of coffee out of this machine before it started to leak. Sent it back. Very disappointing. I’ll have to stay with my Kurig machine.
