If you have a baofeng radio,this is the mic you want. Works great and has a 3.5mm jack on bottom of mic for earbuds. Any iphone/android ear piece will work. But be for warned it geta really loud. I have to put the vol almost to "off" even with loud music playing. I work in the music business and these radios work great for my crew. The mic is sturdy and holds up we'll . Hey, at less than 7$ you cant go wrong.

Delivered quickly and product is as described. Works well on Baofeng UV5R radio. Note that connector must be very firmly seated in the jack on the radio or you may experience issues. These will be your issues and not the radio or the mic. When fitted firmly, works exactly as it should. Build quality is a bit light abd cheap feeling but works perfectly. Not a mic for heavy duty rough use.

I have used and abused this thing but it still functions. I’ve fallen directly onto it, it’s taken direct paintball hits at close range, and I fell into a river with it once. It still works! I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth from it.

The quality feels a little cheap. But it works well. I use this at work.

What I expected in a Baofeng mic

Product is junk. It provides a good speaker, but the microphone won’t transmit loud enough for others to hear. Company has no product support and won’t let you return.

This is a great mic because you can plug in any headphone into it. even my iPhone headphones work with it. Of course its only out of one ear, but its nice that its not proprietary to a Baofeng product. The build of this if very nice, a VERY crisp click of the PTT. and a quite solid connection to the radio. However I have had it slip out a few times and Ive had to turn off the radio, plug it in firm and then back on to make sure it was working but normally not much of a problem there.

I use a Baofeng radio with helmet PTT for communications while snowmobiling. Before purchasing this unit, I also kept a BCA Link on my shoulder pack as a backup. This speaker was purchased as a 'just in case' secondary backup due to very low price with the expectation that it would never be used. After ripping the helmet comms wiring in a crash, this unit became my primary backup because it is louder than the ~$200 BCA unit. Sound quality is just ok, but it's beyond adequate when competing with the engine noise from a sled. After two seasons in my day-pack with occasional use, durability so far has proven to be great (especially considering how cheaply it could be replaced if it ever fails). Overall, an absolute win for ~$10; don't waste your money on the brand name hardware.
