Installation was pretty straightforward. Take your time, clean the surface well and make sure when installing the seal that, it is lined up square Don't forget to grease the new seal before installing crank pulley with Highly recommend replacing oil pump while timing cover is off. Which unfortunately, also includes removing the oil pan to do it properly it can be done without pan removal but very hard also most pans have an oil leak so a great time for maintenance

My daughter's Tahoe had an AFM lifter fail. So, I decided to do a DOD/AFM delete because it was likely the other lifters would be more failing soon, too. I decided to gather all of the parts necessary vs buying a pre-assembled kit. I didn't cheap out on quality and still saved ~$130 over the TSP kit with fewer necessary parts. After tuning out the AFM, the Tahoe started right away and ran like new with no ticking and no CEL.

Fits as designed and sealed the cover as intended,on my 2008 Silverado although the crankshaft seal was a bit deformed upon arrival and I had to order a replacement. Depending on your situation you may need to apply some rtv sealant on the corners where it meets the oil pan. Costs less than the oem parts and seem to be of factory quality if not a little better. Installation is easy once you remove the harmonic balancer ( was not an easy task) in my case I needed an impact tool considering the main shaft bolt on my truck cane torqued to 240 ft-lbs and required a special tool to lock the flywheel in place to keep the crank from turning during removal and installation of the harmonic balancer

Purchased to use on an upcoming cam swap. Have used before and this is THE set to purchase for LS engines. Seals everything well w/ high quality gaskets. Amazon has the best price I'd found as of 2/16/25.
