Corelle Livingware 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Country Cottage, Service for 4

My husband and I had previously used Corelle dishes for many years. We bought them when were in college and used them for 15 years with only one or two pieces ever breaking within that time. The dishes even survived 3 military moves. The only reason why we stopped using them was because a family member bought us a new set of dishes and we didn’t have room to keep both sets. Our decision to use the new set of dishes was a big mistake that we regretted for years. The other brand of dishes was much heavier than the Corelle and their quality was not even close to Corelle’s. The other brand not only weighed a ton, they chipped and broke easily, were too big for some microwaves and took longer to microwave food on. This year we decided that we could not stand the other brand of dishes anymore and decided to buy a new set of Corelle dishes. We ordered two sets of the Country Cottage service for 4 because we needed enough dishes for 4 people. We received our dishes on December 5, 2013 and immediately placed them in our dishwasher so we could start using them. We were so happy that the dishes fit in our dishwasher without knocking into each other like the other brand did because the plates were so big. We are thrilled with our purchase! There is no comparison. The dishes are much more lightweight and durable. The pattern is pretty with blue flowers around the edges and reminds us of our first set of dishes. We will never make the mistake buying a brand of dishes other than Corelle again! Pros: The dishes are lightweight. They don’t break or chip easily and are backed with a warrantee. They are well worth the price: We got them on a lightning deal special and paid $17.99 for each set but we would gladly pay the $27 dollars that Amazon is currently charging for them.

The Corelle brand has been around for a long time, and there's a good reason for that-it's excellent stuff! I purchased three sets of service for 4 (making service for 12) for under $100.00. I had purchased some new china recently but it wasn't microwave safe and it weighed a ton when I emptied the dishwaser and such. I needed more dishes for fewer loads and less weight, I also needed it to be sturdy and if possible pretty too. I got all of that with the Corelle. It goes from fridge to microwave it isn't heavy and it's very pretty too. Delivery was fast and everything arrived unbroken. The mugs are such a pretty color that we decided to match Them for the kitchen paint color! One other thing about Corelle that I love-if someone in the house has a cold you can add bleach to the dishwasher and feel you got it all clean and sanitary too. I just wish this particular pattern had more accessory pieces available-but that's not a big deal really. (Any guest around here who is offended by not having matching serving pieces on the table is welcome to eat at McDonalds where the dishes are all the same color paper.) Very good bargin, very good dishes and very good service. A great deal all the way around. I love Amazon and I always check here first!

Simple, pretty, and a great value here at Amazon. I recently got married and put this set on my registry. I knew I wanted Corelle because it's so durable, and I have no interest in overpriced China. This set should last me indefinitely and I paid less than $100 for 12 place settings. I did augment this set with some extra goodies straight from both Amazon and from the manufacturer. I wish Amazon had offered all of the options. The price ended up being pretty similar to the price of a big box store, so I thought about getting it there because I could return it locally if something was wrong, but then I imagined the really long return lines, and poor service and realized that's silly, Amazon has awesome customer service! So here is where they came from. And of course, nothing to be worried about, everything came in perfectly! And my cousin is thrilled to have gotten all my old stuff! One thing I love about the set is how little room it takes up in the cupboard. I have 12 large & 12 medium plates in one stack with still extra room! They're thin yet so study, it's perfect! I'm very happy with my new set!

The plates are light in color but they are really pretty and they are a soft color. They are very light weight. You can microwave them. them. They come with care instructions I would recommend reading them. I,m pleased with this purchase. My sister bought these same dishes a few years ago and hers is holding up real well she is still using hers. She told me they don,t chip as easily as stone ware. They are thin made. They are like melmac plates in weight and in thickness. I would recommend these dishes . They look beautiful on my table. They are stackable so they don't take a lot on counter space .I love that. I bought two sets of them .If you are worried about them getting broke in mail don't because they shipped mine in original boxes they came in and them shipped them to me in another box. Mine arrived in mint condition and none of them got broke.

I love these plates with the small blue flowers and leaves design on them. They are exactly what I was looking for; lightweight, classy looking, easy to clean and fairly hardy to survive a fall or to on the floor. The best part is that they are light on the hands and is quite easy to remove even the hardest of stains. The small plates are handy to serve sides or just for snack time when we are moving around the house. I just wish they were a tad larger. The mugs compliment the rest of the set well. They are lighter than other stoneware mugs I have used and hand wash easy. I love the light blue hue on the mugs. The only let down was the bowls which have unappealing blue and green lines on the rim and not the pretty design on the plates.

I have an extreme level of RA and I love these. On days when my hands hurt so bad and i have a hard time holding anything heavy i don't have to worry because these are so light so I get to eat off of a real plate instead of a paper one... You would think that they would not be as durable as stoneware but they really are I was very surprised when I dropped the plate in the sink and it did not break. They look great and I am so Glad that I chose these. I am hoping to get another set with grapes and vines, some like that which are on these would be nice with some really nice purple grapes added to the design. You really cannot go wrong with this set I love Corelle I also have a lot their bakeware and platters and everything that I get from them is great. Hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.

I first purchased Corelle dinnerware in the 70's and was very pleased with it but got tired of the avocado green flower pattern after 25 years. I gave away the old set of Corelle and replaced it with Pfaltzgraff, which unfortunately is much heavier and has been much more prone to chip, break, and show scratches. So I decided to return to Corelle. I really like the look of this pattern, and although I was concerned about breakage during shipping and handling, I decided to order them from Amazon, based on the positive reviews and the assurance that Amazon and/or Corelle would replace any damaged pieces. I ordered one set with the blue mugs and two sets with the matching glasses; the order was placed on a Monday with free super saver shipping, and I had the sets by that Wednesday! They arrived in perfect condition. I am very excited to start using them; they are much lighter to handle, which is especially a plus for children and the elderly, and they fit much more easily into the dishwasher and the cabinets. Whats not to love about dishes that are light weight, break resistant, inexpensive but pretty? I have an old set of country blue corelle that had a cherry pattern in blue around the rim I hadn't been able to add to. Needing more dishes for the occasional extra guests I chose to add another set of country looking blue instead of changing color schemes. Although not a match, they will blend well. My husband prefers these mugs to the teacup style of my older set. For years when trying to add to my corelle, their dishes were stoneware and too heavy. These are great for families with kids, senior citizens or those with hand/wrist strength like me. These dishes are also easily cleaned.

I have used Corelle for years, they are thinner and lighter than other plates.
