Schmidt K5 Push In Deluxe Fountain Pen Ink Converter (Pack of 2)

Have had issues with other brands. These work and perform flawlessly. Operation is smooth in both directions. I have ordered several for use in multiple pens and for spares. (Also have the #6 (screw in, for pens that use them)) no problems). A visible silver coil inside the ink chamber of others is a warning flag. That coil inhibits complete emptying of the ink (for cleaning) and reduces the amount of ink that can be drawn in. The only thing I can see that it DOES do, ( based on the examination of a converter that was received defective ) it prevents the shaft from dropping out of knob when the plunger reaches the nozzle which would make it impossible fill the tank (bad design/engineering).

It wasn’t a perfect fit for my pen, so I enlarged the opening slightly with a 5/32” drill bit and now it fits perfectly with a satisfying pop into place

The original converter for my Wordsworth pen finally gave up the ghost. I'm currently using a cartridge and when it's empty I'll try the Schmidt K5 converter of this review. It appears to be well made. Eye balling the lineup, I think it will fit okay. We shall see.

I wanted a Schmidt K5 converter to be able to enjoy a wide variety of bottled inks on my vintage Diabolo de Cartier fountain pen. The converter fits perfectly and works accordingly. I even have an extra converter in case I need it and the price for the two-pack was very attractive too. I am very happy with my purchase.

A bit tight, but they fit the pens I needed them to fit. Seem to work fine. No leaks and draw up a good amount of ink. Nice to know some things actually work like they’re supposed to. WRITE ON!

Works as expected

Perfect fit for Amazon basics pen. Never liked cartridges. This converter will give me more freedom to choose the ink color that I want. Fill it up and it will hold slightly more ink than the cartridge the pen came with. This is a screw type converter and not a plunger which I am not a fan of. One converter cost almost as much as the pen though, even when you buy them as a pair. Also remember this is just an ink container. Just by getting one of these, if you are looking to find a magical improvement in your pen, then this is not what you would want to buy. The performance of the pen depends on the nib quality, the ink delivery from the nib, the quality of the ink, the paper you are using and of course the way you write. Definitely satisfied.
