Worthe every penny
This is probably the best ratchet I own. I work on plastic molding presses and its great for those hard to reach places (aka everywhere). Havent used it much but I dont forsee any problems. American made and feels tough. USA!

Says was hand delivered to resident
I was notified by phone that my ratchet was hand delivered to resident is that why I have a video of guy throwing it on the porch love the ratchet it is like one I lost years ago great quality SK is a good tool for home use and some commercial applications if you make a living with your tools you don't need to be held up by broken stuff.

Quality Sk piece
This is a stout ratchet. Not the most compact peice bit i love the knurled handle. The directional mechanism is fairly smooth. This ratchet is great when you need something short and you are greasy. It wont slip out of ur hand like all those polished ratchets will

Love this thing
The stubby is perfect. Nice fine gearing. I use this thing all the time. It's my go to....can't over torque with this thing which makes it perfect for me.

Spend the money - you'll have it the rest of your life.
I don't give 5 star reviews but....I work as a grip in film and tv and as a such one of the essential tools I carry is a drive (3/8" or 1/4" - mine is 3/8") with a 3/16 hex socket.I have been given all sorts of variations of this set up as gifts over the years and they work fine for a while - they they give up the ghost leaving you stranded and embarrassed. The SK Stubby 3/8" drive has been with me from the Western Pacfic to Eastern Europe and all through the US. It has been submersed in water (both fresh and sea water), used in sub zero snow, sleet and 100 plus degree heat in the desert. It has been dropped, kicked and cussed at and at no time has it fail to work. Hell, I probably have snapped/broken close to two dozen sockets on the thing and all have to do is pry off the wreckage of the old 3/16" hex, put a new one on and it is fixed. I occasionally spay some Tri-Flow in the workings but really, it doesn't seem to need it.Yes, as some of the other reviewers noted, the pawls are not as fine as other drives. It may not be a smooth as some drives that are for sale but for the work that I do it is top notch.I have had this drive for just about 20 years. I paid, think, twenty five or thirty dollars in the late '90's for it. It was a chunk of change then but oh, so worth it.I expect to have this tool for another 20 years. When you think about it 30 bucks over forty years is a damn good deal.

A total godsend
All my 3/8 drive tools are SK now. I started with a 3/8 socket and ratchet set and expanded from there. I always hold my ratchets by the head unless there's real torque being applied so I reach for this more often than a normal ratchet. I have Matco, Snap On and SK tools at school where I'm training for Diesel mechanics and honestly other than having a few less teeth these are just as good. These aren't ridiculous fine toothed like the dual 80 snap ons but they're really truly smoother because of that. I swear by SK because they make amazing, American made tools at 1/3 what the Snap On man wants. Even after my student discount. Don't hesitate. It's the comfort and small clearance of a 1/4 ratchet with the ability to use larger sockets basically. I love this thing and wouldn't trade it for a tool truck brand.

I keep trying to love SK ratchets
I keep trying to love SK ratchets, but they are just a bit "off" for me. This one is good enough, but the ratcheting is not evenly smooth all the way around. Took it apart and put in super lube, but really it is a function of the design more than anything else.
