I had an eight year old mat that was similar to this that I use for our Insanity work out that I used to put a bike trainer on. I had to get one for my wife as we do Insanity together so I got this one and it works great. Size is just right, durable enough to stand up to jumps and side to side movement of running shoes. It also does not slide on hard wood floors or roll up while you are using it. Its also easy to roll up when needed for storage as I roll it up every day since we work out in our family room. Highly recommend.

Bought a nice new treadmill. Needed a mat to place under the treadmill to keep it from damaging the carpeted floor and reduce noise. I purchased this mat for that purpose. This mat is made of a thick, strong black rubber. The new treadmill is quiet and with the mat under it no one can tell the treadmill is in operation because it is so quiet. The mat is tapered all around the edges and makes a great trip free transition to and from the treadmill. I find this mat an extreme bargain and well constructed product.

Mat texture is the same as pictured on Amazon's photo. Mat is loosely rolled, easy to unroll and lay flat. Thickness seems fine and accurate to description. It doesn't seem incredibly "indestructible" - but I do not anticipate holes or tears while it simply sits under my treadmill. This seems like a "home quality" mat, as opposed to the mats you probably see in the gym that have hundreds of people walking on them all day. On the box it even says that it can be used as a multi-purpose aerobics mat, and given its light weight and flexibility I can see it being used that way (definitely not a yoga mat, though). I am using this mat on ceramic tile, I do not think it would be very effective on carpet (aside from keeping out fibers from the machine), but then I heard never to put machines on carpet for stability reasons anyway. I'm a novice, no expert. I like it, but will update if this investment for my treadmill fails.

Paid a little extra for the size and (more importantly to me) the slightly matte nubbly finish, since I hate the cheap, glossy plastic sheen of most exercise mats. This looks much better to me, though time will tell whether they might not be as easy to clean as the slick ones. Even if they are the aesthetics are still worth it to me, but YMMV.

I use this mat under my Wahoo Kickr Core trainer and it's perfect. It catches sweat, protects my wooden floors, and it doesn't break the bank. It seems fairly durable but I am still kinda careful when walking on it with my cycling shoes. I don't think it will rip as it's seems well made, I'm just not trying to replace this anytime soon. The only negative is the initial smell that last a few days.

I read some of the other reviews and don't understand the complaints about a life time warranty, I wouldn't expect a lifetime warranty on a treadmill mat. At any rate, the website clearly says 1 Year Warranty, and that's for just defects etc, pretty much standard warranty for products nowadays, no surprises there.The mat is excellent, fits my ProForm 590T treadmill perfectly, protects the carpet, it looks good, and it was promptly delivered.I recommend this mat if it fits your exercise machine without any hesitation.

I have had this mat for 11 years and it has held up. Works well. Nice thickness.

The mat is just what I needed. It is installed under a very heavy treadmill over a wood laminate floor and keeps any noise from the treadmill insulated from the floor. The thickness is just right and had no problems with tearing when we installed it. The treadmill is quit heave and we had to roll is back and forth over the mat to get the mat in place. no problems. Good quality.

Worked great for my treadmill and saved the carpet underneath. The size was good although my treadmill was a monster so it barely fit. LOL
