Tylt Energi Sliding Power Case for Samsung Galaxy S5, Black/Blue

After going through many charging cases that were a laugh, I stumbled upon this one. I have had it for about 4 months and its still going strong. Haven't had ANY problems what so ever. Buying another one just to be safe.

I absolutely love this case. It does add some bulk and weight when the phone is in the slider case for charging, but it isn't any bigger than when I had an Otterbox on it. I actually like the way it feel substantial in my hand/pocket now (not so fragile feeling) The bulk is certainly is worth it when I am able to charge my phone wherever I am without having to plug in the cord AND find an available wall outlet or computer USB...Esp when traveling or during those long business meetings in which my battery would die before the meeting ended...I also like that I can still use the phone while charging without much battery loss. Once I figured out how to (easily) get it in and out of the charging case- life was a breeze! Finally, the blue/black phone case itself is nice and lightweight when not inserted into the charging sleeve; it is SLIM and smooth in my hand. Overall it adds a nice accent color, sleekness, andthe battery time I am now getting without the fussy cords, charging blocks etc.

Globally a good product, which does what it's supposed to do. Great design and fits well to the phone. Anyway still some negative points about it: - No battery charge indicator. No way to really know the state of your battery. - Missing a quick release button. It's not Always that easy to remove the Phone from the battery. - Big issue on the fact that if you leave it on charge, it will first charge the Phone, then disconnect the Phone from charging in order to charge the battery. Globally, this means if you simply leave it charging before going to sleep, when you wake up in the morning, you will end up with a fully charged external battery, but a Phone already showing 75% battery. It should continue to feed the Phone while charging the external battery... I would still recommend this product

I loved it until I left my phone in a rental car, and the phone vanished after 45min... so now I have the battery pack but no case that fits it for my replacement S5. 2X life is great for when you have long days of travel, and limited access to outlets.

When it came the packaging looked really scuffed and definitely like it had been through the wringer, however the product inside looked fine overall and everything came with it. It worked but just barely. I made sure the case was fully charged, the light was green and everything. The next day my phone dropped to about 8% so I snapped the charger case onto the case provided and it charged my phone to about 35% before shutting off. I pressed the button on the back and it showed a red light, tried plugging it into my phone one last time to have it show the charging symbol for a second before shutting back off again. Quite disappointed but you get what you pay for I suppose.

Update- 7-24-2016 I have been using this for a while now. It works great and has felt good in my hand. However, in the past few days, the finish on the charger has started to come off. Also, I realized that this kind of product is not the kind of product for me. In the past, I have had an extended battery that has replaced my manufacturer's battery. I realized that I prefer that kind of battery. For this battery, I had to carry around an extra battery and charge it separately. It was a pain, especially on trips. I am very pleased with this device so far. I ordered it and received it within 2 days. The package was a little beat up, but the contents were in great condition. The case fit my phone perfectly and it slides into the charger. When the phone/case are slid into the charger it is pretty hefty. You can see in the pictures how slim it is with just the case and how big it is when plugged into the charger. The only issue that I am having and it probably isn't a bad thing is that it is very tough unplugging the phone/case from the charger. It fits VERY snug and it is hard to pull it apart. Today, I put it through it's first serious paces. I unplugged my phone this morning and left it unplugged all day. (I should tell you that I have all notifications turned off and I didn't have anything connected with Bluetooth. Also, I have terrible cell service at my work, so it burns the battery down pretty good.) By the end of the day, I had about 47% of my battery left on my phone. I slid it into the charger and turned it on. In about an hour and a half, I had a fully charged cell phone. I will try to remember to update as time goes on, but for now I would say this is a really good buy.

I think of it this way: The phone case is better than most $15 cases. On top of that it comes with a free phone charger. People who want it to fully charge the phone should understand the Tylt is a 2800 mAh battery - the same as the Galaxy S5. The laws of physics won't allow a perfect transfer of energy and a larger cell would bring up the price.

This item worked great for about 40 days(just over the warranty). Then it stopped working and hasn't worked since. Very disappointing.

Thought s5 and s5 neo were the same. Does not fit neo. Charge port is in different location. Sent in return request but seller did not reply.
