NOT A TOY!
I'm sorry the other purchaser who reviewed this had a bad experience. Mine was, fortunately, better. The car is delicate. One knob on the dash was crooked and when I attempted to straighten it, it disappeared in a flying flash. I am a fair modeler so I was able to make a new one with some plastic rod, shaped and painted and it's fine but I get the criticism that this is NOT A TOY.The steering wheel fell off as I tried to follow the directions to put the figure behind the wheel: Hint: Don't try until you have cut off the left hand and filed a very small amount of wrist away and angled the hand slightly upward a few degrees. You can superglue the wheel back without much trouble. Yes, the door mirror looks very delicate so be careful. All this aside, (I know that must be laugh out loud funny at this point) BUT the model itself is very well done. This is a very finely detailed and painted replica of a beautiful, very significant car. The smooth finish of the paint, the applied badging is first rate. The detailing of the cockpit and engine and under the front deck lid are as good as any of the high end models in this scale. The James Dean figure would be better wearing the white long sleeved T shirt or sweater he wears in the photos, not a collared dress shirt but that's a quibble.Know what you're getting, be careful and you will enjoy this model of the enigmatic star's last ride.
