Sun Essential Oils 2oz Vetiver Essential Oil for Aromatherapy

This was packaged amazingly. Bottle and dipper looked beautiful. I was surprised to see there was a stopper inside. I figured it was a slow pour situation. Not the case but reassured nothing was dripping out. Bottle is definitely great size. Now for this..... this stuff is really thick. I have never bought nor smelt vetiver so I didn’t know what to expect. Way thicker than most essential oils. I wish I could have got the cinnamon smell everybody is saying bc to me it smells like dog urine. I hate the smell and will not be using in my soaps as planned. My son said he got bubblegum medicine and liked the scent. Bought a diffuser at dollar tree so needless to say it didn’t work so I couldn’t smell it from that standpoint. But the size, quantity, packaging and quick delivery were all amazing. Best deal I could find for this product and absolutely worth it

This "vetiver" is unquestionably the worst "essential oil" I've ever purchased.It has been heavily diluted with something to make it runny (compared to how thick vetiver oil normally is) and barely has any scent at all. What's there at most just smells like something "damp." Even a heavy amount in a diffuser results in virtually nothing, and certainly nothing in the grassy/woodsy category like you'd normally expect. The ingredients just list "Sun Essentials Vetiver Oil" but c'mon, this has to be almost entirely grapeseed oil or similar.Unless I can figure out some alternate use for it, it's essentially defective and unusable and going back. Shame, because I've historically quite liked this brand's Australian Sandalwood oil.

I ordered vetiver and patchouli oils from this manufacturer. Both oils smelled much weaker than they should. The patchouli smelled like a diluted or different variety of the plant. The vetiver smelled slightly of baby powder scented baby oil. The scent didn't get any stronger when warmed up in the hands either. I would spend the extra on a better quality.

How companies can gey away with this is beyond me. I threw it away. No idea what oil it was... ZERO scent... Greasy. Trash.

I have enjoyed all of the Sun Organic oils that I have purchased. This vetiver does not have the normal brown tint, not is is thick like I am accustomed. Therefore, I don't know how if differs from others I have used. However, the smell is the same, and it doesn't clog my diffuser as much as the thicker versions.

good quality at a good price. compared to other more well known brands, this seems to be cut more for aromatherapy than other uses. have to use twice as much to get same strength/effect/smell, but still well worth the price compared to most popular brands

not sure of what the percentage is on this oil but I've used pure..Pure essentials oils are expensive. So in this case you get what you pay for. I am not using it for anything more than a diffuser.

So I am not an essential oils expert and don't claim to be. I have recently become a believer in the effectiveness of essential oils since vetiver (NOT this one) and lavender oils stopped my daughter's night terrors and sleepwalking. I loved the smell and effects so much plus I have sleep issues of my own, I decided to get my own diffuser and oils for my bedroom. I thought why not go big? We love them and sleep so much better with them... Right? THIS. IS. CRAP. CRAP I tell you! Organic is just a word they added on the end to make it sound more appealing. I have used 2 different brands of vetiver oils and I don't know what they're putting in the bottle but it's not vetiver oil. Real vetiver is very thick, like honey. It won't even drip out of a regular oil bottle top. This is as thin as water. Real vetiver has a strong earthy scent that grows on you and mellows out nicely. This plain stinks. STINKS!! It also gave me the most horrific dreams. I read the bad reviews and thought there were so many good ones the people that wrote the bad ones must not have known what they were talking about. I was wrong. (Don't tell my husband I said those 3 words please) I have never used this brand before and will never again. Thank goodness for Amazon and their AMAZING customer service that I don't have to just eat the $14 (+ tax) and toss a worthless bottle of crap.
