Pumping Ditch Water
As of today 4/28/20, I've had this pump working in dirty ditch water. There are no solids as I'm filtering the water through landscaping cloth in an outside catch basin. This pump has been running nearly non stop since I installed it. I'm very impressed as this is the 3rd pump I've put in my basin since November. The other 2 were high dollar, advertised as "Heavy Duty" and they both failed within 3 months. I'm very pleased with this pump, although it's 1/2HP and I really need 1HP due to the amount of water I'm moving. It's pumping a 1 1/4" dia stream of water, 100 feet from the pump non-stop. I couldn't say enough good things about this little BIG pump....although I'm knocking on wood now as to not jinx myself.

Does the job
Replaced an older pump with this one. Install was easy. Is a little noisy currently, but better than a flooded basement.

Great pump
This pump works perfectly! when the water gets low the pump automatically shuts off so you dont have to worry about the pump burning up on you.

Pump seems to work well although the on/off switch float can be a difficult to fit in some spaces.

Does not fully drain
Pump intake is about 1½ inches above water line so it always leaves quite a bit of standing water. Also the float requires a lot of water before it kicks on. The pump itself is strong and appears well built.

make sure the system is the one that works for you
product was just what I expected. pump ball needs to be up for the pump to work, so you my have water left if it doesnt rise to the right level
