Does what it says on the tin. Easy to cast from phone.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but this device is not as cool as I have imagined. I tried 3 test scenarios - a device which would enable Airplay on my TV; a device to cast WiDi from Win 8.1 PC; and finally - to enable my iPad connect wirelessly to my DELL monitor so my iPad can turn into a workstation (in iOS 13, iPads support keyboard and mouse). In all these scenarios this device did not impress me much. Please note: this device has only RJ-45 interface (and not a combo of WiFi+RJ45) so the WiFi signs in logo are totally misleading. You cannot pre-configure it while on RJ-45 to later use in WiFi, instead, it can only be operated over Ethernet. Scenario #1: iPhone/iPad to TV. OK, the little thing works as such - but that's it. The picture is quite laggy in both Airplay Screen mirroring and Airplay Movie Streaming. The movie was jerky because the output was 60 fps and my TV is 50 Hz. DLNA sharing did not work. Scenario #2: buyer beware! The device is not capable of classic Windows built-in zero-config WiDi/Miracast because it is wifi-to-wifi protocol and this device has no wifi. I'm afraid 'Miracast' logo is misleading. Instead, you need to install EZcast app onto your PC and I don't like the idea of having 3rd party apps which have access to my screen (who knows what kind of backdoors might be there?). I chose not to install EZCast and tried at least to check how it handles DLNA (Right-click + Play To). It failed to render any of my DLNA files (MP4, MP3, AVI etc). Scenario #3: Then I tried to enable my iPad as a mobile workstation. I hooked the device to my 16:10 DELL monitor, connected Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and enabled screen mirroring. Once again, the setup worked - but not as expected. The resolutions are limited to 1080p, 720p and something like 480 or 576 , all 60 Hz (not possible to choose 50 Hz). The pillarbox option is not available and as the result, 16:10 is distorted. The lag is noticeable and makes work uncomfortable. The conclusion: unfortunately, this device cannot be used neither for professional (work) purpose, nor for visually-demanding entertainment. The only potential I see is for photo/video sharing at let's say, home party when you project photos and videos from vacation and don't expect any high quality.

its a nice product,didnt expect such results from this price, sometimes it does get a little pixilated but not too shabby. I like it.

I'm still trying to figure out how this is a "Wi-Fi" display dongle. It has to remain connected to a router with an ethernet cable to be accessible. I believe the product information to be very misleading.

Purchased This to stream/mirror from iPhone 7, photos and home page etc worked fine but when mirroring Apple TV and Netflix would only stream sound but no video.

Sometimes loses network

Product worked well for 3 months then stopped working. Company sent a replacement immediately. They were polite and efficient. Well done. Lets see if new product lasts...

Purchased this item hoping for a cheap solution to cast downloaded TV shows from Android phone to TV via HDMI when abroad on holiday. So far I have failed to achieve this. It only mirrors screen when connected to router and ev en using Easycast it does not cast sound so headphones would be needed for decent sound. Not recommended as from my experience it is not as versatile out of the box as is claimed.

Un impiccio e mal funzionante!!!

Para comenzar, el paquete llegó en perfectas condiciones y exactamente en la fecha prevista. Todo fue perfecto y con una sencilla instalación. En mi caso, quería un adaptador de este tipo para mi televisión ya que es una televisión algo antigua pero sigue viéndose bien y no quería cambiarla a otra pero echaba de menos conexiones como la que permite este aparato. Llevaba ya mucho tiempo detrás un producto así y nunca me decidía, y por fin adquirí este adaptador. Lo que me hizo decantarme el precio y por las buenas reseñas que luego se hicieron reales, hace todo lo que necesito , y con una calidad espectacular. Como he comentado antes es muy fácil de instalar, solo necesitas una conexión RJ45(la del internet de toda la vida) y nada más. No me ha defraudado en absoluto y estoy más que satisfecho con la compra. El adaptador encaja perfecto en lo que yo buscaba. Totalmente recomendado.

Buscando el ‘original’ me conforme con un aparato que la publicidad en Amazon lo vende muy bien pero a la hora de la realidad no cumple con lo prometido. Primero, engorroso! Hay que enchufar al USB de la TV y descargar una aplicación QUE NO FUNCIONA CORRECTAMENTE LA DE EZCast... Estoy usando iPad y iPhone 8. La publicidad por lo menos las imágenes se puede entender que funciona con Wifi. Pues no! En mi caso buscaba un aparato Wifi para la habitación donde no llega ningún cable al módem. Ósea que no lo puedo utilizar. Y además de todo, lo probé en dos Tv en casa y no hay sonido! El HDMI NO TRANSMITE SONIDO! Tanto en una TV antigua de 6 años como una reciente... Ósea que otra vez con el material barato, NO CUMPLE LO PROMETIDO! No voy a devolverlo porque estamos en una situación de confinamiento. Eso si ÁNIMOS Y AGRADECIMIENTOS A TODO EL PERSONAL DE AMAZON POR SEGUIR AL SERVICIO DE SUS CLIENTE PESE LAS DIFICULTADES!

Lo he devuelto porque no es Wifi como dice el enunciado, necesita estar conectado por cable de ethernet para que funcione. Yo lo necesitaba para una habitacion que no tiene toma de red asi que no me vale. Publicidad engañosa. Ademas lo probe en otra tele y las imagenes se entrecortaban y no coincidian con el sonido.

No se me conecta con ninguna aplicacion que instalo en mi mobil, asi que tendre que devolverlo. Gracias.
