Valbreso French Feta Cheese - 21.4 oz

On a whim I ordered this in March 2023. Shipping was great, the tin arrived cool with the cold pack still partially frozen, and the Best Buy date was July 2023. I placed the not opened tin on the refrigerator back shelf and proceeded to ignore it. Finally with trepidation I opened the tin in August 2024 -- the cheese was perfect, firm and fresh tasting. I crumble the feta for salad topping use, but it's sufficiently firm to be sliced for other recipes. I'll order this again after the summer heat has passed.

The best feta cheese but I can get it cheaper at a local ethnic food store

This was shipped without any cooling /insulating packs. Since it is a perishable item I was told to talk to Amazon directly. The problem with that is that since it is a perishable food item, it is not returnable and you can't even get to anyone to explain the situation. I've emailed Valbreso directly but they list an invalid email. The Amazon seller told to contact Amazon directly. It's a shame because this product is delicious. One has no idea how long it has not been refrigerated. With food prices as they are, loosing $32 is not good. Hopefully someone will read this and help me resolve this.

I love this Feta. It inspires me to make spinach fritattas, fetalicious vegie pizza and much more. If only I could afford it a bit more often, for parties, special guests and my son who can't eat cheese from a cow. You folks deserve what I pay for this great product. But. Idea: for us devoted customers of meager means--how about a coupon once in a stretch of time? A great surprise?

This Feta taste great when fresh. The can it comes in is hard to open all the way so I had to put it in another container with all the liquid. After three weeks or more the cheese starts to taste funky. There is a lot of cheese in the container for one person to consume in a few weeks. It seems to me the cheese should have a longer period than it does or like some of the other brands have bought in the past in large containers. cheese should be keep refrigerated at all time.

Great feta. Better than supermarket.

I buy feta cheese imported from many countries including my own from small local ethnic shops. This is a bit on the pricey side, but i have to say the quality of it is worth it. You can look for a creammy or drier feta. For a creamy kind this is very tasty. I think it is a good buy for those taste buds that enjoy the variety in the sheep feta cheese.
