East Asian Pop Culture: Analysing the Korean Wave (TransAsia: Screen Cultures)

I ordered this book for a Korean culture class I am taking over the summer in Korea. When I got to Korea I found that the book skipped from about page 10 to 47-58 then back to page 20 something and the rest of the book is normal. The printing issue is annoying and I haven't ever had it happen before but the actual book reads easily and is very useful if you are looking for an in depth analysis of hallyu

It's a very good book to learn about the East Asian pop culture and the Korean Wave phenomenone.

In general, this is a good book. It introduces Hallyu, especially Korean TV drama, in terms of production and reception. It is well recommended to ones who is interested in the audience studies in East Asian popular culture. But if you are interested in the circulation of Hallyu, this one does not fit well.
