This is a direct replacement for an engine management component that's right on top of the engine.
I had an evap system issue causing the MIL to turn on. I forget what the OBD code was, but it pointed to evap. It turns out the factory purge control valve was leaking very slightly. Replacing it with this corrected the issue, since this one doesn't leak. Have driven about 10k miles since the replacement and have not experienced any problems since. This thing is held on by like...one or two screws, or maybe it was something like a hose clamp. I think it was something like a hose clamp. There are two vacuum hoses, and an electrical plug that may be a bit snug. It was right on top of the engine and replacing it took less than ten minutes with a screwdriver. The component did come in packaging that resembled OEM packaging I've seen before, so it's either such an excellent counterfeit that it may as well be the real thing, or the real thing itself. I'm going with the latter, as the price was right in line with the MSRP for the thing.

It's Hyundai genuine
