Powerful pump
This pump is great. Really powerful, it pumps uphill over 100 feet through a standard garden hose. Makes it easy to pump out your waste tanks to sewer access fittings in your yard, which means you don’t have to move your RV to dump your tanks. A huge time saver. The cutting blades also work really well.

Great value
I bought this pump to be able to empty our tanks into our sewer cleanout at home and skip the lines when we don't have full hookups, which is not often. I have used a few times and it works great and dumps very quickly. I chose to toss the quick connect fitting and go with a 1" PVC Discharge hose I picked up from HF. This pump fills that hose under pressure and is there most efficient use of the pump and reduces the backpressure and wear on the pump. It's not as convenient as the QD and garden hose but is definitely better. I have intended to run a line from the battery but have used it with a heavy duty jump box that I have to jump start my diesel pickup. I built a PVC reducer that screws into the cleaning and the discharge hose screws into it. It's a secure and clean solution. I was considering a top of the line "run dry Marine" pump but as cheap as this one is, when it dies I will just buy another one. For the price I can buy 14 before I spend what the high end pump costs.

Works great!
For the money you can’t beat it!! This thing is so much easier and cleaner than the normal slinky hoses. It did not come with a fitting to attach a water hose. But a few bucks for a regular hose, and then a barbed fitting that accepts a water hose and a couple hose clamps and I had it going. Just be prepared to spend 10 bucks at a hardware store before you can use it.

Great pump
I purchased this to dump my black tank while sitting on a church property through a 5/8” water hose and it works amazingly well considering it pumps threw a small hose when it calls for a 1 inch hose.My thought was I could buy 4 of these for the cost of a 1” 100’ water hose. I use the pump once a week to pump approximately 100 gallons of black and gray water for the last five months works perfect. I don’t let it run over 15 minutes, but typically I can dump 100 gallons in less than 10 minutes with the 5/8” standard water hose at 100’.

Fittings make zero sense
The sewer hose fitting has to be ground down to fit over a standard sewer hose. And yes I tried five different brands. The discharge size is some type of one inch barb fitting that fits no garden hose or regular hose so have fun making an adapter. There is a garden hose fitting on the intake side so I'm not sure why they wouldn't put one on the outflow. It's a pump designed to pump out an rv yet the sewer side doesn't fit right. The flush side that hooks to a garden hose leaks and the discharge doesn't have a garden hose fitting and fits no standard hardware store hoses.

Work's great over long distances!
I live fulltime in my RV, and spend the vast majority of my time on property that does not allow a short distance to the sewer connection. I use 150 feet of 3/4 inch water hose to reach my septic tank. When I first started living here I bought a Flojet 18555-000A macerator pump, as it had the majority of purchases and high reviews. The Flojet ran hot from the moment I purchased it, and finally died in 13 months(and I fully understand I was using the pump beyond Flojet's maximum distance of 50 feet through 3/4 inch hose). I decided to try the SewerFlo Quick Release RV Macerator Pump - 12V, 12GPM this time, and I am SO GLAD I tried this pump. I am 6 months into using it and it has NEVER, not ONCE, ran hot at the 150 feet distance I use it at. I have a 39 gallon tank that I do not dump until it is full. The Sewerflo pumps a little slower than the Flojet, but only adds maybe another 1 to 2 minutes of time(real running pump time). But compared to having to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the Flojet to cool down EVERY cycle, I went from taking half a day to dump the tank, to an hour. It takes about 6 minutes to empty my 39 gallon tank the 150 feet. I then fill it up, usually 3 more times, sometimes 4, to get it clean, and the motor housing barely gets warm. I paid $72 less for the Sewerflo than the Flojet. Just remember that the Sewerflo outlet is 1 inch barb, and will thus need adapting to water hose. You cannot go wrong with purchasing the Sewerflo pump. Underdogs sometimes win big, and the Sewerflo won me over big time.

Works good
I liked the price and the quick shipping. I had to buy an adapter to use a garden hose on the discharge. You could cut the end of the garden hose off and attach it that way.. would be more permanent though. I knew what I needed from all of the other reviews. I like the on off switch and the length of the cord. It works very well and cleans up nice with the hose adapter on the suction side of the pump.

Used fist time
Pump works great. Used it to empty my black and grey tanks today. Pumped both tanks through a 5/8 50ft garden hose into my camco rhino tank that's in the box of my pickup. Pump was easy and clean. Would buy again for sure

Outlet connection lighter plug overheats!
Cigarette Lighter plug overheats in minutes! Spring inside overheats and won't spring back. Very bad connection plug!It would be a good unit if it had a decent outlet fitting. Not even any manual or advice on what type of outlet hose to use. They say normal garden hose. However that is incorrect. The fitting is either 3/4" or 2" I have no idea.Would have been better if it had a normal threaded outlet. Not happy with that.Would not have bought this unit had I known the problems. Possibly cause a fire!

Fittings are off sized .
Fittings are off sized . $ 100 worth of fittings and power cord was too short. Works very well so far.
