Great top coat just wished it lasted longer

This is my favorite leather top coat/sealer. I paint purses. This gives a sheen with a slightly pink iridescence on an orange purse I painted. This works great since Brahmin purses (which I usually paint and make them look back to new) usually have an iridescent sheen. The iridescent sheen is part of the High Gloss product only. I like that it comes with a little sponge. I use the sponge again and again, just clean it with isopropyl alcohol and a makeup brush cleaner. This is very easy to use. Tilt the bottle onto the sponge and let a bit come out. Then wipe it all over the leather exterior of whatever you need to seal. I let it dry overnight. It feels smooth, not sticky. I buy this every time it is in stock. I've used all finishes of it, Matte, Satin and High Gloss. The leather lasts well once you coat it. This is the final step when you repaint leather.

Hard to apply on detailed shoes. It's difficult to apply a thin coat without a proper brush or tool. It took longer to dry.

I have a spot on my steering wheel that is wearing where I hold that spot all the time. I read the reviews but decided to give it a try as most complaints were about the finish being too shiny. First off, this stuff is very runny. Luckily I just poked 2 holes in the seal so I could pour it without making a mess. I followed the instructions for cleaning and application. It says that it will dry in 1-2 hours. Mine never dried. I left it 24 hours and tried a 2nd coat. That one never dried. After a week, it just started getting dull/dirty, then started rubbing off. The finish on the steering wheel looks horrible now. I would highly recommend against this product.

I had faux leather chairs which were peeling badly and should definitely have been thrown out. However I thought I'd give this sealant a try with some leather paint underneath. Despite them being PU leather the paint followed by 2-3 coats of this sealant has made them look almost new! I sealed them about a month ago and so far no signs of any re-peeling have occurred. I think it would require resealing every 6 months or so but with the price of this being so reasonable its a great alternative to buying all new furniture. Great buy for those with pets. I'll be using this on some of my furniture items that haven't started to peel yet as I can tell it will prolong their lifespan too.
