I'll admit it, I was skeptical and fully expected to be disappointed and wind up returning this thing. After all, it is exactly what is pictured in the ad: a cheap piece of plastic with a couple of angled cuts and an elastic strap to hold it in place ... But it WORKS! And it's better made than anything I could have made at home out of hobby store materials. It arrived today and I used it today. Now I have a neatly trimmed neckline that blends perfectly with my DIY haircut. It comes with directions, and if you follow the instructions and hold it in place with one hand it gives you a nice guide to follow for a clean, straight trim. It's much easier than trying to hold a mirror in one hand and eyeball the trim line, so I'm a happy camper!!!

I've cut my own hair, my kids, and a couple of the neighbor’s hair for years. In attempting to get that straight line the first method I used was painters blue tape, it worked, but not very good because clippers and razors get caught-up in it. A couple of years ago I came up with this idea as well and constructed a template with thin plastic and held it in place with a sweat band. It served the purpose although the plastic was harsh on the head and not very flexible (it finally cracked). I came across this item inadvertently while looking for a new set of clippers. This is way better than my inventions, works great, and I’ll bet we get several hair trims out of them. A guy can putter around and try to put something together or just save the hassle and purchase these; they are simple and will work fine.

I don't think I will be using this again. I found it to be extremely awkward and am thinking it requires a 2nd person to do the actual cutting.

This template makes it easy to get a straight line across the back of your neck. Between hair cuts I like to shave the back of my neck to keep it clean looking. However, as you can't really see back there easily, there was always a risk that I would accidentally cut the hair jaggedly. This template gives you a reference so that you get a straight cut even though you can't see the back of your neck, and it keeps you from cutting too much. I like that it has an elastic to hold it in place so that your hands are free to use the razor.

I was pleasantly suprised with this order. Such a simple concept, but it actually works! When you first strap it on, you have to ensure it's straight & properly located on the back of your head. Then, it's a piece of cake. You simply trim along the edge & it leaves a nice, curved, even hairline. It looks as if it was professionally cut. Nice & easy!

The product is Ok, you still need a lot of looking and while it do make it easier to cut on a straight line, it’s kinda difficult to set up to be straight. Also the fact that the straps can’t be adjusted and lock in place make it kinda difficult to maintain in place because one move and the whole thing can come loose. The size is more than ok, I would say is not worth the money due to all the complications and maybe port effectiveness. Is easy to clean since is just a plastic piece with not that much texture.

I purchase this about a year ago. I started trimming my neck for a month and was so frustrated with it that I was about to throw it in garbage. So, in my initial review after a month of use I said that it was not functional. I left it in my bathroom cabinet for few months but then decided to give it a try one more time. This time I paid a bit more attention and spent more time on how to utilize this device. After a few attempts I finally got a hang of it. Now I feel much more comfortable with it and I use it more and I am getting better as well. It gives me a nice clean hair line on my neck that is straight and well trimmed. Is it like a line a pro in barbershop does for you? Definitely not. But it is good enough for me; given, I save the time and money I must spend to go to barber every two weeks. Overall I rate it four and think it is a good tool to have for any guy. Just remember it needs some time, patience and practice to make the best result from it.
