Great Device
I've already have a Garmin watch, and was looking for practical Garmin computer to help with my new fitness regime. I decided to go for the Garmin 830, being that it was a Garmin, with good reviews in the mid price range. And I have to say, I'm very happy with it, being it's the perfect size, touch screen excellent with many great tools/readings that you can bespoke to display in a number of different layouts. It's was highly recommended and has lived up to my expectations.Once ordered, the delivery was smooth, quick and without drama. I would happily order again from this company.

I like this for touring
I only use it for recording my bicycle tours for strava. The battery will last at least three days.

Very expensive mistake
Edge 830 purchased Dec 20202 stars for reliability beyond warranty. Great hardware let down by dodgy software updates. Difficult to believe that it's not an unspoken strategy to keep folks buying the next model.Worked great until 4 months beyond the 2 year warranty when the touch screen started playing up.Finally after installing a 'GPS firmware update' yesterday, the touchscreen has become unusable. Only the buttons still work however those provide only limited functionality. I suspect that the button version, i.e. the 530, would probably still work OK.Having had a number of premium head units over the last decade from this manufacturer I reached the conclusion that the best strategy where this manufacturer is concerned is to:1. Note the purchase date2. Put a reminder in the phone calendar for a future date a month short of the warranty expiry date3. Decline all updates while using it4. Then before the warranty expires, flog it on a well known Internet based marketplace while it still works and while I can still get a decent price for it5. Move onto their next model6. RepeatTheir customer support are famous for being waste of time even while the warranty is still valid so I wouldn't even bother trying now it's expired.

Won’t connect to anything!
This device is so hard to connect to wifi or my phone. Makes it almost useless. Feels like a complete waste of money.
