My main use for this is cutting plastic, so I tried it on a variety of things I have around the house. Took a slice from a plastic lid, a Rubbermaid tote and so on. Tried it on some plexiglass - no go there - it actually started a small fire. But for every other plastic it's fantastic. Look at the corrugated plastic cut. I cut off a corner, then cut off a slice that's about 1/6" thick. Looks like I found a way to make little ladders!But seriously, this is a great cutter. Heats up almost instantly, has a hanger built-in the handle and the carrying case is decent. It also has zero markings and can be used for a couple of my meters instead - since this will be hanging on the wall by my work bench.
