Another awesome High Sierra bag
This thing is remarkably big and tough- perfect for a ski trip. Not only did it fit my boots, but also my helmet and basically all the clothes I brought with me on a recent trip out to Colorado. Also fits nicely into the overhead bin as an airplane carry-on. Everyone was very impressed. Granted, the straps aren't super cushy and it doesn't have great back support, but that's a ski boot bag for you. You're not going hiking with this, or carrying it on a daily basis, so those things are secondary. For me, its not even a question any more. If I'm buying any sort of sport-related bag, if High Sierra makes it, I'm getting it. Not only is it reasonably priced compared to many other top brands, but its durable, and always comes with a Lifetime Warranty. I know this is the real deal because when the zipper busted on a High Sierra backpack I had used for nearly six years, they sent me a brand new bag with almost no hassle. And no, they're not paying me to say this, I've just seen over and over that they sell good stuff and back it up.

Essential for skiers who need to haul and store their gear.
Just received two of these for me and my son. I started looking for ski boot bags when a friend of mine showed me hers. It was a more expensive brand and looked like it was padded. Because I needed 2 of them, and because I'm broke, I needed something that didn't cost quite so much. Just got these and they are fantastic. They hold a set of boots, helmet, goggles, ski pants, etc. Pretty much all the ski gear for the season will fit in one. These will be great for getting stuff to the slopes, but just as importantly, they are great for organizing things at home when we're not hitting the pow. As for quality, like I said, these bags are not padded. So, maybe not a great idea to check them as luggage. Maybe not a problem, but personally, i don't think I would. Other than that, the quality is great. Whenever I see a ski luggage accessory, I do a search for High Sierra. Great quality and the prices seem to be about half what other manufacturers offer. I don't think you can go wrong with this bag unless you have a lot of coin and don't mind spending $100 or more for a padded bag from a different manufacturer. (And I should note, my friend's bag did not have this much space in the main compartment. She could barely fit a helmet in there. Mine was able to hold the giant helmet for my melon head, gloves, 2 pair of ski pants, glove liners, balaclava, etc.

Great price for a durable bag. Priceless for skiing with kids.
Priceless for our needs For the price, I think it's perfect. I'm very happy with this bag, it was a huge sanity saver with kids. I bought one for each kid and 3 seasons later they still look new. My youngest was 10 at the time and could handle the bag just fine, straps adjust easily. No more whining when carrying boots and gear any more! That right there made it priceless. Spacious It's roomy enough in the middle compartment, after they put in their items, I add my hat, googles and plenty of extra gear in with their stuff. We always take extra socks, gloves, googles, hand warmers, water bottle, it all fits. Wet boots stay in their own compartment away from my dry items. When we are ready to ski, we just grab our bags and skis and throw them in the car. We keep them packed so it saves time and tears, nothing gets left behind. And getting them from house to car to lodge and so easy. Comfort is key The bag is comfortable to carry even with my older child's large and heavy boots and loaded up. My youngest and I have narrow shoulders while my eldest and husband have broad, this pack fits all of us well. Durable After 3 years, no tears, little sign of wear. They take a beating with these kids. Usually hang them on hooks at the lodge and at home they are hung up (without boots), strap is still firmly sewn on. Many times they end up under the tables in the lodge with people kicking them with their boots, stepping on them. And yet, they still look great. They have held of well. I'm now buying myself one as well. I've researched other bags. I don't see the point of spending money on extra padding and I don't want a bag that other people are tempted to steal. While this one is common and looks like many others, we put tags on them to make them easy for us to find and differentiate from others.

Great Boot Bag at a Great Price - Can Fit a Ton of Stuff!
I'm very satisfied with this boot bag. I was a little nervous since it was so well-priced, but once I got to the locker room at the mountain I noticed plenty of other people with High Sierra bags. I was amazed at how much I could fit into it. You can put a boot in each side pocket (with a little extra room to spare) and then in the center pocket you can fit your ski pants, helmet, goggles, gloves, and a few other items. This has completely replaced my old bulky shoulder ski bag. And because of the location of the boot pockets, you don't get jabbed in the back while you're trying to carry it. Even with the bag completely full, it feels light and smooth on the back. Highly recommend!

Lightweight, large and durable. Great product for the price!
This bag fits a pair of men's ski boots (size 27), helmet, gloves, extra socks, hat and goggles with room to spare for snacks, tissues, etc. I would give it 5 stars, but it's tricky getting the second shoulder strap on-especially when wearing a ski jacket. Overall, I love this bag for the convenience of having hands free to carry the skis and poles. And the size is perfect. It's lightweight but seems durable. It doesn't add much weight at all to your gear. We've used it for one season and it's held up well. It may be the best ski boot backpack available. So far, I haven't found a better one. And the price was very reasonable.

Flimsy and boot bag does not match product description or image. Very disappointed.
This is the second black High Sierra Trapezoid boot bag that I have purchased. Unfortunately, the quality of the bag I just received is c**p compared to the black Trapezoid boot bag I purchased 2 or 3 years ago. The fabric of the current High Sierra "Trapezoid" is more flimsy. Furthermore, the description of the product on Amazon's website states "Diamond Ripstop Duralite 600" and, if you look closely at the website image for the black bag, you can see a diamond pattern in the fabric. The boot bag I just received does not have this diamond pattern fabric (my first bag does) and the tag on the bag says "840 Denier Duralite." Additional website inaccuracies are that the image shows white piping at the top of the bag and white stitching at the bottom of the bag while the one I received has neither. As I said, I purchased the second black "Trapezoid" boot bag because I liked the first one. The only problem is that the quality of the current product appears to have gone downhill. I feel that the description of the black boot bag on the website is, at best, inaccurate and outdated or, at worst, deceptive.

Good but not great, expected more from this brand...
Certainly a well constructed bag, but for the price, I'd say it is missing a few essential features that would make it worthy of a higher rating. For one, it would be nice if there was a small external zippered pocket on the front or top for small items like keys or tools, etc. It would also be nice if there were a weave of light weight bungee or an adjustable strap to fasten loose gear to the outside. What is the most disappointing is the center compartment has nothing in the way of pockets to organize anything. While the storage capacity is decent (holds two pairs of gloves, goggles, two pair of socks with a fair amount of room to spare) the configuration of the bag makes it slightly, challenging to stow my helmet inside and causes the bad to lose its shape. Maybe I'm expecting too much at this price?

Great, Basic Bag
This bag is noted as being more basic than others, which is true, but it is high quality construction. I bought this for my husband as we drive to our ski days- so full padding throughout the bag is less critical than if we were checking the bag with an airline. I will note, the straps do have padding. It's more firm than mine, but at least provides some comfort for the shoulders. What I love is that it seems very well made, and should hold up for the most basic need of getting boots and gear from our car to the hill. The only other callout is that this bag only has one small pocket inside- for holding car keys or small items. Everything else you want to store in the bag goes in the main center space between the boots. If you are looking for a bag with loads of interior or exterior pockets for hand warmers, trail maps, water bottle, etc- this is not the bag. But if all you need is a good quality bag to carry your boots, and you don't mind it being low frills, this is a great bag. My husband loves it.
