Gilmour 996 Pattern Master Pulsating Sprinkler

I’ve had the Gilmore for 30 to 40 years and now I have two love them

Love this sprinkler for my yard. Was easy to play with the adjustability to get water exactly where I wanted. I just place it in the same spot every time and I’m good to go. Make it easy to get water where you want and keep it from where you don’t.Replaced my oscillating sprinkler with this and it works so much better. Old sprinkler was heavily affected by wind and made it more difficult to keep a consistent water pattern. Had to move it around and hand water spots after. This solved that.Product is too light to stay in place with average water pressure so you will definitely need something to weigh it down. I put a weight around the base and it works perfect.Durability seems fine. I’ve used it maybe 10 times at this point and haven’t noticed any concerns so far. Seems solid.Make sure the base stays securely tightened to the sprinkler section. The sprinkler head has enough power that it was able to unscrew itself from the base which will move your pattern. Noticed it wasn’t spraying in the same place I wanted it to. Kept making adjustments and it kept moving. Finally realized it was ever so slightly twisting itself off the base. Tightening it back down, reset my pattern and have been good to go since!

Worth it!

I have been using this model for many years but the plastic ramp will crack after 6 years so any time i seethese at reasonable price i buy one.i use to cover my irregular front lawn with the adjustments, just raise or lower the circular ramp and has stops so you only get water where you want.

If you are having problems with the circulator spraying distant ring cracking due to heat, you can apply an oil to the ring or keep sprinkler in the shade when not in use. I have not found another type of sprinkler that meets my needs. I have been using at least 20 years and normally I normally get 3 years of use here in middle Georgia.

I love this sprinkler! I have an odd shaped front lawn and had to move a sprinkler several times to get all the areas, until I bought one of these sprinklers several years ago before I replaced it with this new one. With this I take a few minutes to set up the coverage and water the whole front yard at one time!

Nice to have adjustments but from the reviews it seemed like the all powerful innovative sprinkler and it’s not really. You just adjust how far you want it and that’s it. I’ll have to but a back and forth to compliment this.

This sprinkler works very well. I was able to shape the watering to perfectly match several areas in my yard. Price is very reasonable.
