I think the pictures were the first things to astonish me -- varied, helpful and beautiful. I love the combination of history of the urban farming movement and the practical applications for both the beginner and the experienced gardener. This book is very, VERY complete. From history to gardening recommendations for specific vegetables. Strongly recommended for people interested in growing their own food inside the city or even as a small bussiness

We purchased this book at the recommendation of a friend. It is a great overview of Urban Farming, along with some extra detail on specific topics. If you are well versed at vegetable gardening and have a small orchard or animals, it is not as useful as it could be. Perfect for someone just starting out. If in doubt, check it out at the library first.

This book was easy and fun to read,with lots of useful info.As a beginner urban farmer I enjoyed every topic,it covers tons of stuff at light pace,not overwhelming or complicated.I love it.
