Kampel SeamFil Retarder 1 oz Tube

I can’t imagine using Kampel’s SeamFil for laminate repair without using this retarder. Our new kitchen countertop arrived with a small chip. Instead of sending all 16 feet back, we asked the retailer for some kind of patch kit. After watching videos, I learned that seam filler sets up rapidly and that this retarder slows down drying time, making application much easier. It worked perfectly.

I bought this to give me more time when mixing the Seam-Fil to fix my countertop. There's a couple of YouTube videos by this company that I watched to make sure I did it right. Make sure you have the solvent and tools mentioned in the videos before starting.Overall, it worked great. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to fix their countertop.

I bought some of the Seamfil colors to match my Formica laminate countertops to fill the seams after installation. This helps to slow down the setup so the colors are easier to work with. Really helps.

and saved me the trouble of redoing my counter top. It pays to use the retardant and to mix in small quantities.

I was having some work done on my cabinets and the lady doing the work ran out of the materials she had on hand. I ordered this for her to complete the job. The retarder is very helpful in extending the working time of Seam-Fil. I was thinking that it might be a gimmick, but I'm glad I got it...it made working with the Seam-Fil product much easier because it didn't harden as quickly.

Doesn't match the color. Difficult to work with. Will only work in ideal conditions.

Just watch the you tube videos first, because it turns out that what the owner says it will do on youtube isn't what I needed it to do.
