Simply the best there is.
So, over the years I have tried many calendar notebooks. Name a top shelf maker - I tried it. Some lasted longer than others, but I always come back to Moleskine. I love the layout - with the days with dates on the left and the lined pages for notes on the right. I love the paper - the weight of it and cream color. I love the amenities of the notebook. The back pocket for expense receipts. The planning calendars, conversion charts and travel aids in the front. The quality build and cover. It's just perfect. And no one has topped it in my 30 years in business. I realized that I keep coming back - because it's the best.

Very thin pages
Perfect layout, exactly what I wanted. But the pages are so thin! the printing on the other side shows through. I can only imagine when I write in this it will be even worse. I’m going to keep it because I like the layout so much and just find a good ball point pen to use. I prefer felt but it would bleed through these thin pages.

in my world, weeks start on Sunday
Am I just too set in my ways to adapt to a calendar whose weeks start on Monday? I have made too many many entry mistakes when I have used a calendar that does not start the week with Sunday. Lovely item, I would have liked to use it.

Better Journal
I bought the standard one page per day hard cover Moleskin to do my journaling. I was a very poor journalist. Many days went blank. Oh I filled them with fiction, but I wasn't really connected to the book. I tried this version. The soft cover is friendlier in my bag. It doesn't fight against the other items I'm carrying. It feels good in the hand. The most important thing about this little book is the layout. One side I organize my life; the other side I write about it. I have found that using pencil instead of pen encourages me to jot ideas down. I find it easier to whip out the book and add a calendar item than trying to get the iPad or iPhone to cooperate. I find myself much more likely with this soft companion journaling when there's nothing to do on the train, waiting in line for gas at the local big box store, in the dentist waiting room, and as Oscar Wilde once wrote, "I always carry my diary. One should always have something sensational to read on the train." (The Importance of Being Earnest)

love it
this is why i ordered it so early for next year. it is a great planner with interesting features. the layout of the 2020 planner is designed differently. so far i still prefer the 2019 layout. will try to get used to the new one hopefully

A trusty companion, preferred over using a smart phone to keep track of things
There are a lot of things to love about this little planner/journal! It is very compact and functional - I love having the week view on one side and a blank ruled page facing it so I can add lists and notes, etc. instead of having to cram everything into tiny blocks. It feels great. I have had both the hard cover version and the soft cover version in other years, and I chose the soft for 2020, so we’ll see how well this holds up. The pocket in the back, the bookmark ribbon, and the elastic band keeping the planner closed are all trusty Moleskine elements that do their jobs well, but I could do without the sticker sheets, for sure. There are a few things to be mindful of that could make you choose a different model: 1) I am not a fan of the week starting with Monday instead of Sunday. It just feels wrong to me somehow, and it’s slightly disorienting if every other calendar you look at regularly starts the week with Sunday. 2) I don’t like that they’ve given the weekend days only half a column each, while leaving a fair bit of extra blank space at the top of the page (above Monday... where Sunday could very comfortably fit, incidentally). 3) The pages are very thin, so you have to choose your writing implements carefully and take care if you have a heavy hand. I wrote a few notes on a page and could see the ink on the opposite side of the page. I might switch to pencil or a very fine point pen (ballpoint - not gel, marker, or other heavier ink) and hope things don’t just all blur together after you write on both sides of a page.I’m really happy they still make these, and it was nice to save a few dollars since I purchased mine toward the end of January. Happy 2020!

Great for a busy schedule
I have been using these for about seven years now. I find them great to keep organized and to maintain appointments and things to do.

Would never buy any other, they’re brilliant
I love these and treat myself to one every year. The pages are of great quality and the spare side for notes on each week are perfect for adding extra details you may need for that week. I prefer this diary to the phone as I can rely on it and particularly like the soft cover as i find it makes it much easier to flick through and jot notes in than if it was hardback. There are a few extra pages in the back which is useful for lists or numbers etc too. Its definitely not a £1 bargain diary but the quality means you’re unlikely to revert back to that & people always note how good it is too. I keep mine in a bulky handbag all year and it has always survived, never fallen apart and generally holds itself together very well.

Avoid Using Ink Pens
A lot of customers seem very happy with the quality of this diary/ planner. I used it and immediately realised that the quality of paper is very poor and too lightweight for ink pens. Although I used a 'light touch' the writing could be seen through the other side of the paper. Returned to Amazon for a refund and too rethink about what to replace it with.

Quality diary, definitely worth the investment
This diary has the ideal layout for a yearly diary. A week is displayed over a two-page spread, with the left-hand page having the days of the week and space to write down appointments etc and the right-hand side page ruled for any notes you wish to make for that week. I generally use this space for a to-do list, crossing off different items during the course of the week before drawing a new one up for a new week. The shape and size of the diary is great – I like the slightly reduced width as it allows it to be slipped into large pockets. I went for the red colour, which I find to be a nice attractive berry-red colour. The soft cover helps you to flick through pages easier than a harder cover. When you open it up, the spine allows the diary to lie flat, which I like and I don’t really want to be battling pages to stay down when I’m writing in one.The pages are slightly thin, so most pen you use seep through to the next page. Biros seem to be the best as they don’t bleed through. The diary comes with three small sheets of stickers. To be honest, there aren’t really enough of them to be useful as if you used them, they probably would only last a month or two. There are some pages at the beginning which show you the yearly and monthly overviews for the year. The monthly one is useful, as you can write key events in the little boxes and see what your month looks like at a glance. They come in a little pricier than some other diaries, but I think it’s worth it for the quality you receive. You only buy one once a year, so you might as well get something you really like.Overall, I’d definitely recommend this diary for anyone who is looking for a weekly diary with a bit of room to write extra notes for the week.

Perfect for a stationery addict
I love this diary, not least because it is small enough for a pocket or bag but has so many features. I like the year planner with space to write at the beginning as well as the handy pocket at the back. The ability to lay it completely flat to write in it without spoiling the spine is excellent. It suits my planning style to have the diary on the left and a lined page on the right for notes. The cover is vivid and feels pleasing in the hand.I can see myself taking this everywhere I go and buying a new one year after year. The only negative is for those with very large writing as some of the spaces are quite small, but this IS a pocket diary, not a desk planner.
