These whistles arrived, and they work exactly as described! The size is perfect, and the included lanyard means I didn't have to take one from any keychains around the house. The sound it makes is very loud, which will be perfect for coaching my kid's basketball team. It looks good, and is also made of plastic, which is nice, that way I don't have to worry about it accidentally hitting a kid (since it's not made of metal) when getting close to them. Overall, it's perfect!

These sports whistles worked perfectly for refereeing both youth soccer and basketball games. They are exactly as described, fit comfortably in hand, and produce a loud, clear sound every time. Sturdy, reliable, and a must-have for coaches or referees at any level!

They do the job, though on an ice rink they tend to get wonky from breath on the little cork and you occasionally get a wonky sound. Probably would try another brand / version next time. Outside the rink and freezing cold - you're probably good to go with these and wouldn't have any problems.

I thought my Coyote defense strategy was foolproof. I was the fool! A determined Coyote can snatch a dog much faster than I can flip a spraycan, or swing a pipe, or Toss a large rock… What I needed to have was some distance to fumble for better deterrents. A Whistle! Because during a 5 minute chat with a neighbor, intentionally under a bright LED streetlight, leashes shortened to keep my 2 dogs at my ankles, and she her one; out of nowhere, without either I or my neighbor seeing it happen, I turned to check-in with the dogs, and was both terrified and amazed to see a huge paw on my little guy’s haunch. I did not know how long the LARGE Coyote had stood there; it’s possible I was unconsciously aware of his being there, when I turned to check my boys. Hazing didn’t budge him. An LED high beam flashlight to his eyes didn’t budge him. My bellowing got his attention but didn’t budge him. My neighbor tooting a meek, sad, little “PEEP” on her ridiculous Birthday Party Favor whistle didn’t even get MY attention. This guy broke the Coyote code. Seemed friendly rather than firey, and confused by my antics. I later concluded he was probably a dog hybrid- a story for another day. But I left -after he finally ran off- straight to home and Amazon, to order 2 referee/safety whistles. Criteria: LOUD! It is. Piercingly. Shrilly. Painfully. The kind of sound that shoots through you and hurts for a few hours. I was concerned about it being plastic, but I’d have to run over it to do it harm. I don’t feel a Coyote would hang around in range of that sound. I live along a year-round migration route, so I’ll have many chances to test that. I adore Coyotes, respect them, and acknowledge their hanging out near our homes, on land that was historically theirs. I have no argument with them. Unless they are standing next to me with a huge paw on my 9 lb. dog’s back, pondering which dipping sauce to use! The price for this item is painless, and it would also be a perfect camping and hiking whistle. Or for a Marde Gras 2nd line band major. Or a Referee!

Cheap Whistle. Loud enough to grab the kids attention. Definitely easy to use, and does what it's supposed to do.

Très bon sifflet pour le sport. L'embout à accrocher ne se casse pas, contrairement à tous les sifflets en métal que j'ai pu acheter. Le son est puissant et net. Je recommande à 100% !
