These are real quail eggs, precooked, shelled, and packed in water. The problem is that they are severely OVERcooked. They are hard and rubbery in texture, with a peculiar aftertaste that's almost like metallic -- but not quite. Quail eggs are a delicacy in my wife's native country and impossible to find in my corner of the United States, so I was very enthusiastic to try these. Unfortunately, they are a huge disappointment. I won't buy them again.

Great value, anyway else charges more. Have bought multiple times and never had any bad ones. Great addition to soups. Fresh and great texture. Definitely recommend. Like to use for at home hotpot,

I've always used this brand for dishes I cook that calls for quail eggs and they've never failed me....AND the cans arrived undented, so yay!
