Good quality tricycle bike for the price but missing a couple of critical seat parts and damaged in shipment.
The Kent Bayside tricycle bike is clearly a higher quality bike then others at the same price point but......when we received the bike the box was pretty beat up. Everything looked fine until we put the bike together and the one of the rear wheels is severely bent/bowed (this could be from poor assembly in China). Also, another nuisance was that the half of the bike's seat hardware was missing so my father-in-law was nice enough to run to a local hardware store to purchase parts to make a temporary fix.I''m not sure if I'll purchase another bike on line as it will be a hassle to deal with the wheel problem and get the correct seat hardware parts.

Love the bike
Love the bike, easy to put together, need a few tools but nothing crazy (myself and my hubby put it together in under 30min). its very sturdy, and rides smoothly. My only disappointment with the Kent Bike is the seat. I have to keep re adjusting it (once i set it in place an ride it comes undone some how to many how many times i fix it or how tight i make it), and quiet frankly the seat is uncomfortable. It might be because i have a really big behind and the seat isnt wide enough for it. So im in the process of purchasing a Extra Wide Seat for it but other then that its an Awesome bike.

Donโt try to build at home!
Got this bike and when it arrived the box was damaged quite a bit. The bike looked fine inside of the box but the shipping was rough. When going to assemble the bike the chain was off and upon closer inspection discovered it was pinched between the front sprocket and the crank housing. The front crank had to be disassembled to remove the chain. The left rear inner tube had a hole in it that was visible to the eye and had to be replaced. The safety ends on the break cables fell off when brushed up against and could not be reinstalled. And the hardware to install the basket is too small and pulls through the basket mounts; need to be replaced with larger washers. The seat is too small for a person much larger than a small person. The back rest on it is not movable and too close to the seat. In all the bike is nice looking and seems functional but was a real challenge to assemble, not recommended unless you have it delivered to a shop and let them assemble unit.

This is a great adult tricycle !!
This is actually my third adult tricycle over a period of about 5 years, and it's the best by far. I started with a 16" Kent folding tricycle with no gears. I "upgraded" to a 6-speed 24" tricycle, but I didn't realize until I had it for a month or so that it was the wrong configuration for me -- the pedals were too far back, underneath the seat, to be comfortable. This Kent Bayside is nearly perfect. I purchased it using Amazon Prime, and I have to say that the box arrived in very poor condition, but the trike is fine. The position of the pedals is "forward," which is a comfortable position. The Shimano gears work smoothly (although on a bright day it's a little hard to read which gear you're in). The trike has a shock on the front, which absorbs bumps and makes for a very comfortable ride. The trike is freewheel with front and rear hand brakes. The front brake works well, but the rear brake is weak and doesn't do much to stop the trike. It was fairly easy to assemble. I do still have some squealing when applying the brakes, in spite of several adjustments. The small seat with the little backrest is basically useless, so I replaced that. All in all though, I highly recommend this tricycle. Kent makes a good one, compared to the other tricycles on the market. As with all adult tricycles there is a slight learning curve in terms of riding it. Take wide turns, and try not to have any of the tires hit a rut in the road, as tricycles can be tipsy. Being cautious, however, will pretty much guarantee a safe ride. By the way, this fits fine in the back of my Sienna minivan, with the handlebars loosened and turned downward.

Kent Adult Tricycle
I had TKA on one knee late last summer and the other in early fall and have been unable to ride my sky blue schwin bicycle because 1) I am unable to balance on the bike and 2) I'm afraid of falling because, not being able to kneel, I won't be able to get back up. The bike arrived -- and as others have stated -- the box was a bit beaten up but everything inside was in pristine condition. It took my husband and son approx 30-45 minutes to put the bike together. It is a gorgeous bike! It is heavier than my previous bike but it's okay because it won't tip over. I can't zip around corners but have to take a wider angle because this bike is different. I feel very comfortable on this bike and am able to have my 90 pound golden retriever run alongside me while I hold his leash. Couldn't do that previously because he'd pull me over. Having a large basket in back is awesome because I can fit two big paper grocery bags side by side in it. Getting this bike was the best thing I've done for my new knees! Definitely recommend it for anyone !

Arrived damaged and no customer ssupport
It arrived damaged. The rear wheel was bent and unusable. The rear end gears are exceptionably noisy. The customer service for Kent seems non accessible to me anyway, as I sent several E-mails that were not acknowledged. I had it to a professional bicycle shop and they will try and work on the loud annoying clicking noise but the wheel is non repairable. I am exceptionally disappointed in Kent. It is possible I got a lemon or a customer returned or a factory cull. My wife refuses to ride it, so I will have it repaired and donate it somewhere or make a $500.00 mail box stand out of it. I would have been happy with a new rear wheel, and lived with the clicking, but there was no one to discuss that option with.
