A speedy card
The network built into my mother board wouldn't operate at gigabit speeds for some reason. I bought this card, put it in, and immediately was at a gigabit speed on my network. It is easy to put in and the only configuration was to turn off my old network card on the mother board in the bios at boot. It works great and has definitely speeded up my work and my network. I never have any network glitches or dropouts with this card. A great card. I have been using D-Link network products for years and find them to be among the top performers. I recommend this card if you want more speed.

Works with GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 5.0) and Windows 10.
Installed this to solve a really annoying driver issue on a PC with a GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 5.0) motherboard running Windows 10. Could not get the drivers to work for the on board LAN due to incompatibility with Windows 10 and a possibly dead LAN port. I'm tech savvy normally but this stumped me and I was done fooling with it.Bought this because it is low profile, as I have a Radeon 7970 graphics card in there and it almost covers up the whole motherboard. This is short enough that the fans can still move air around it and I'm not having overheating issues.Connection is solid and works great for gaming, husband plays PubG and Vermintide II with no dropped connection.

Works on Windows XP SP3
I put this into a motherboard with an Athlon XP 2800+ CPU, and installed the drivers from d-link's website. it's a good improvement over 10/100 lan. The old card that I replaced with this one was only able to sustain about 8 Mbytes/s while this card is only limited by the CPU and can run at 55Mbytes/s. Note that it would run even better if my CPU from 2004 wasn't holding it back.

compatible with Window Server 2003
I purchased the D-Link NIC after initially getting two Netgear gigabit NICs (for a Vista Ultimate workstation and Windows 2003 Server). The Netgear GA311 NIC had Vista, but no Windows Server 2003 drivers. Amazon provided an RMA for the second Netgear NIC and I purchased the D-Link NIC which installed without incident on my Windows 2003 Server. The Vista workstation, Windows Server 2003 and a NAS RAID box are connected via two Netgear gigabit switches at two locations. Unfortunately, both NICs are PCI (not PCIe) and will not be able to perform at full gigabit speeds; aside from this, the upgrade is still a significant performance upgrade from 100Mbit NICs and I hope to see my backup and file transfer durations drop to about a third of what they are now.

It works on Windows 10, but at about 1/3 my network speed
I have a gigabyte network and a 750mbs download speed from my ISP.This card is only able to download at 250mbs which is 1/3 of the speed it should beThe previous Network adapter that went bad was able to download at 750mbsA W10 desktop right next to this one on the same switch is able to download at 750mbsI may keep the card as an emergency backup, but I will be ordering another card today

Perfect gig card
Bought 2, it was plug and play on Win 7 and Linux. My onboard gigabyte port got fried through a surge that only hit my cable lines that fried TV, 2 cable boxes, E3000 router, and a cat 6 line too! This was a cheap alternative to any other option and it works perfectly for me.

Worked in old Compaq desktop with Windows 7 Pro
Easy to install. I did as others have suggested and turned off the motherboard network adapter in the BIOS before installing the new drivers provided with the card. I loaded the drivers and the card was immediately recognized and functioning. Speed tests indicate it's taking all that's available from my provider. Only time will tell. BTW......Amazon sent this in one day!

Inexpensive, Fast, and Dead.
Here are the "good" and "bad" on this product...ADVANTAGES.1. It is cheap. I bought mine for $7..2. The NIC is very small and compact..3. It is PCI format. As a result, the card can be used in very old motherboards..4. The speed is excellent. I double checked with a few internet speed testing sites to verify...DISADVANTAGES.1. The manufacturer, D-Link, is a named brand for network products. I have owned several of their products: modems, switches, routers, NIC, and others. I found them to be reliable, and the quality is good..2. Windows 10 compatibility is questionable. The CD or website does not have the necessary driver. So, I do not know if this product works with W10. Reading the other user evaluations, it is a "mixed bag." Some say YES, and others say NO - it is a gamble...--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------..UPDATE: I was too premature on my rating. The device went dead on the 28th day.
