**Amazing book** you actually get more than you expect
Amazing book, you actually get more than you expect. The book has multiple functions, the sandpaper letter style of the cursive lowercase letters to create a sensorial experience, cultural insights through diverse sports from around the world, and the author uses anagrams for each sport, while describing the physical activity, and the place where it is practiced. Let alone the gorgeous illustrations, which are far from being cliché. Adults and childrrn alike will be delighted by this Montessori-inspired book. Additionally, each page corner contains a sneak peak of the shoes that will be in the next page. It can help anticipate the next page, spark interest and start conversation. And it puts an emphasis on shoe types and their function (snow, ballet, hiking, food diving fins), which is part of Montessori practical life experience. I highly recommend it for children of any age.

Ideal for our international interests!
This is our toddler's favorite book! We love anything international, and a surprising attribute of the book that our little one gets most excited about is the creative shoe precursor. He is delighted to point to the tiny pair of shoes, like a clue, and announce that we will find those on the following page. We like "Around the World" very much! The only query I would have is why the author did not match the alphabet letter to the place. For example, it would have seemed easy to say "S is for skiing in Switzerland," to let alliteration be continuous for each page. But we were so grateful to find a book that used the globe and wrote about different destinations!

The book was a great idea i like the function of sand paper letters
The book was a great idea i like the function of sand paper letters, especially in cursive. However, the story was different. The binding totally broke the book into two about three months after owning it. Not worth the money spent.

We love this book!
We love the quality of the book and the content. My 3 year just started getting interested in letters and we are slowly introducing the letter tracing to him.
