Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage

Absolutely LOVE this—there really isn’t another option on the market with the same quality and variety. I know a lot of customers, myself included, would looove a 2nd collage book from you! (I do see another one under the same author but it’s in French so I’m not sure if it’s a different version and it costs much more and charges shipping:/) There’s an abundance of collage books on Amazon that are basically images on regular paper compiled into a book, which quite frankly, I can print myself in better quality at home. But this book is genuinely created with collage in mind. These pages feel luxurious from the smooth sheen (kinda like textbook pages) which retains the quality of the print so the images come out clear and in the correct colour. They’re also the perfect thickness to cut into with scissors or xacto knife but are not too thin that they’ll rip easily. It’s clear the images are thoughtfully selected so that they’re suitable and legible for cutting up and can stylistically work together in a piece of artwork. You can choose your own backgrounds for the collages or there are several large backgrounds to help get you started. All in all, just a great collage book!!

I searched through so many collage books and this one is probably my favorite. It was a great buy and I found it really hard to find another collage book that compares to it. There are so many different images and they’re all high quality. My favorites are definitely the plants and flowers selections. I made this beautiful collages out of the images!!! Pretty much cut up the whole book, but there are so many images It would take forever to use every little image. It was a great starter book to get your collages going due to the variety and density. You’ll definitely get your moneys worth for this book!! Worth every penny!!

these are good reproductions of many assorted categories of things to use in mixed media art. best method if you own a printer or have access to one is instead of cutting out the individual item, copy the entire page so you are able to use that one illustration over again. these are fairly realistic looking which is what i was seeking

if you’re looking for a good base to start your collage and other works; check out this book! “Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage” •• Maria Rivams | there’s over 1500 unique graphics of all sizes that range in many different content. the book has a very helpful chapter that covers on basic tools and materials to get started, tips and tricks on how to embed multiple layers , manually manipulating graphics to create blending and depth. i recommend this to every collage artist as a must have! the graphic topics range from renaissance art to butterflies to anatomy. the graphic are very sharp and vibrant! they are also printed one sided so you don’t have to sacrifice any and you can utilize every single graphic. i should also mention these are clipping you have to cut with an exacto knife or scissors. all graphics contain a white guide border around them that make cutting them out super easy! don’t miss out by not getting this. the sheer amount of material is perfection at the price point. this book is one of my favorite purchases. it is going to stay with me through hundreds of different projects. please do yourself a favor and add this one to your collection!

If you are a lover of all "Fairly Odd" things when it comes to unusual and different activities and books, etc.... boy are you going to LOVE LOVE this!!! This is a BIG Book! Very tall! Maybe about 70 pages or so! Each page is filled with multiple photos of random things that you can cut out. There are themed sections too like "Plants", "Food", "Appliances", "Astronauts", "Fashion", and all pictures are from back in the 50s-60s-70s! Alllll retro! Now the paper is not thick like card stock... its more like magazine, but still perfect for a random project needing a pop culture collage or a vision board or like I did, I cut out a lot of images and glued them to a 8x10 stretched canvas board and framed them! Get as creative as you want with these! So many images to explore!

I LOVE collaging and I tend to rely on old magazines for most of my materiel. However, this book has been an incredible resource for when I need extra details that I’m having a difficult time finding in the magazines. I definitely recommend it!

Dieses Buch ist das mit Abstand beste, dass ich bislang mit Cut Out-Motiven finden konnte. Eine wirklich sehr schöne, umfangreiche Auswahl zu verschiedenen Thematiken. Die Grundlagen der Collage-Technik und benötigten Materialien wird eingangs erklärt, ebenso wie ein paar Beispiele, die mit den Motiven aus dem Buch nachgestaltet werden können. Ich kann dieses Buch nur empfehlen und würde mir sehr wünschen, dass es noch ein zweites Buch von Maria Rivans geben würde. Bin aber tatsächlich geneigt, mir dieses hier nochmal zu kaufen, weil mir viele Motive einfach sehr, sehr gut gefallen!

Love it, good quality and lots of pictures

I've started scrapbooking as a hobby and bough this book as one of my 'essentials' and I am incredibly glad I bought it! The quality of the items to cut out and the paper itself is great, there's such a large variety to choose from ranging from small to big, it comes with some background pieces and really large photos right at the back - honestly it's packed full of a little bit of everything! 10/10 would recommend from me!

I’m just starting to dabble in collage and wanted some inspiration. This book is filled with cool ephemera, lots of images and tons of ideas to get started. Can’t wait to cut, collage and create! You won’t be disappointed!!!!
