Works well and no weird tint
I bought these to grow some plants in an apartment with no natural light. The instructions say to place the lights 18 inches away from the plants and to keep them on for 16 hours per day, however I have the lights placed about 4 feet a day, and realistically the lights are only on for about 8 hours a day. Despite this, all of my plants are thriving without any other source of real light. Multiple plants have flowered, including both of my alocasia. The lights themselves are a bright white that have no weird red tint like some other grow lights I have purchased. I have had a pair of these for over a year and have had no issues with them even with daily heavy use. I just purchased some to put in our bathroom, and they are bright but not overpowering in that small room. The plants I placed in there seem happy, and some of my variegated plants are putting out higher variegation than they were previously when I had them placed outside.

Been my go to for years...
I've used these for years and they work great for throwing into a lamp or a hanging fixture to give that plant in the dark corner some extra light. The light is not uncomfortable to be around and blends well with the room compared to other grow lights. I've had about 4-5 of these bulbs over the past 3 years and I've yet to have one stop working. For the price to performance value and being easy on the eyes, the BR30 are great grow lights.

So Much Power for the Price
Love these bulbs. They're so bright (photo w/lamp on vrs lamp off - no flash) and even placed 18'' away my tropical plants that need "bright, indirect" lighting are growing better than they did sitting within 8'' of my west window. It's the middle of winter and my Begonia are starting to bloom again under these lights. You actually have to be careful not to sunburn your plants; I've singed the tips on a few, LOL. My favorite thing is that they're white light to the eye so they don't distort the view of your plants. Most strips of LED grow lights you have to replace the entire strip when one dies, and most are not sold in single strips, this makes replacing them expensive. These are light any house bulb, put it in any standard screw in bulb fixture and replace the bulb easily when one dies. The only thing is since these bulbs are rather long, you can't cram them up underneath shelves of a mini greenhouse. I have mine in a gooseneck fixture on the side outside of my green house with them tilted to shine inside from the side (see last photo). To put them inside my greenhouse I would have to remove a shelf or 2 to double the height clearance between shelves. A single light hung in the middle above a shelf would cast light over an entire 3 foot long shelf however. Great bulbs for ceiling light fixtures in a plant room or standing lamp fixtures to cast light around to big plants standing throughout a room. I may get slightly weaker screw in bulbs for hanging up inside of my greenhouse, again since I've burned plants with these GE ones, and then move these bulbs to my ceiling fan in the plant room.

Positive reaction from the plants
I got this to replace a plant light that didn't last 8 months. The light only uses 9 watts which is really efficient, and saves on energy costs. My plant has reacted positively to the light and it looks a little better than the with the old LED plant light. The light is a so called "Full Spectrum" LED plant light, but the light is produces is a very cold, bluish, white light. It is uncomfortable for the eyes when sitting close to it. That is just a personal preference. I like warm light,All in all, the light is low cost, uses very little energy and saves on electric costs. The plant seems to like it, so I will give it 4 stars, and I also find it to be a terrific value for the price.

Good growlight option
These bulbs definitely helped my plants grow and allowed me to move plants to areas that get very little sunlight. They have lasted a long time. I’ve had them for 1 year and they still work great!

Best Grow Bulb for Microgreen Hydroponics I’ve Bought.
I’ve tried lots of e26 /standard lamp grow bulbs and this one is definitely the highest quality with a nice, stable output and an even spread. It’s super bright for a 9 watt (still can’t believe it) and doesn’t hurt your eyes to look them directly at like some of the more compact e26 lights that are made of led light arrays. The only down side, for some, may be that they have’ll to get a lamp that fits this bulb (it is larger than a standard house lamp bulb).I’ve gown 3 trays of sweet pea / pea shoot microgreens 2 times now and it’s wild how fast they grow with this bulb... I can harvest within 5 days of turning on the light and with no added hydroponic / liquid nutrients added.I put the light and trays in a darker area of my house that I used to need to light up with a lamp anyhow ... one day I thought, “ why not grow some food with hydroponics in that area since I have to turn on a light anyway?”The plants seem to love this light too. It puts out very little heat so I boom the light very close to the seeds and raise it as the greens grow. Here is a picture of the last sprouts I grew and harvested today. This particular tray is only 1/2 - 1/3 full (only has about 130 seeds vs 300) but you can see the results. When I get more seeds, I’m going to try growing 2 trays simultaneously with 300 seeds. I have a feeling it will work nicely.Writing this review because I’m hoping more people try it out and like it so GE keeps making it ! Will update this post if I have any issues with this bulb.

Great purchase
I bought those and the GE Grow Lights A19 bulbs. I didn't know which ones to choose. Besides the shape, the performance seems to be the same. Here's what I said for the GE Grow Light A19 : "I was considering purple grow lights at first. But I'm glad I found these bulbs. I paired them with a clamp lamp and a smart plug. I programmed the lamp to turn on and off at specific times. They are so bright and they seem to provide the amount of light that I couldn't get in the room where my plants are."Since I've had them, I can already see the difference. I'm just an amateur gardener. But (thanks to those grow lights) it looks like I may succeed in saving some of those carnivorous plants that I have. They require so much light (which I couldn't get with sunlight alone because of my house/window configuration).I recommend

Great!
I’ve had this light bulb for quite some time now and it’s still going with daily use on a timer. The color is much more manageable for my eyes than many other options, and the plants seem to thrive under it!

Surprisingly unreliable for a GE product
This bulb is supposed to have a 3 year warranty but it stopped working in less than 6 months. I contacted Amazon customer care to invoke the warranty. Strangely, though the warranty is mentioned on the product packaging, it is not present in the product specifications on Amazon. Amazon customer care reached out to the third-party seller, Vervanger, but there was no response from them.Though this was an expensive product I ordered it only because it was from a trustworthy company like GE and was being sold on Amazon. Now I am stuck with a faulty product with no warranty support!

Buen producto
