Simple, concise, beautifully presented
A great book for those who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle without losing our sanity! The information is simple and concise, confirming from a very credible source the key points with which to focus our limited time and energy. I think that this is a very well edited book and that the author, Rhiannon Lambert, makes her message even stronger in what she left out. In it's simplicity, the book draws our focus away from unimportant fads that distract us from the bigger picture. Nutritionally I doubt that any of the information will be new to readers, but it was my first time reading about the behavioural and psychological aspects of eating and this was invaluable. The book includes a large number of recipes, many of which are plant-based or adaptable recipes. I love that the recipes are fuss-free and practical. The recipes are especially well suited to a household or couple where one person is vegan. I purchased this book because I wanted to set goals with respect to sports nutrition, but I was totally uninterested in counting calories or creating a meal plan. Personally, I like intuitive eating and have pretty much always eaten intuitively but I knew that I could probably fuel and recover better from workouts with a few tweaks. I was hoping to pick up a few new tricks to nudge myself into better patterns. I would recommend this book to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed or obsessive over the litany of (often poor) dietary advice, anyone looking to subtly improve their nutrition or anyone looking for simple and nourishing recipes.

Science backed nutrition education
If you are looking for science backed information about nutrition then this is the book for you. Rhiannon goes into details about how everything works and how it benefits you such as carbs, fats, proteins and micronutrients. This is not a fad diet book that tells you to cut your carbs to drop some weight. This is a book that teaches you how to balance your meals and fill your belly. She also includes many recipes that I have made myself and are delicious. I’m from America so some of her dishes were different but so tasty once I tried them! She is also on all social media platforms always posting tons of resources. She has her own clinic that is nutrition based that covers all bases such as general nutrition, eating disorders, etc. Change your life and follow her.

100%+ pleased with my purchase.
Could not be more happy to have purchased this book! So refreshing to read information from an actual qualified nutritionist whom knows what they are talking about, in=depth. Rhiannon's book has a lovely flow and easy to follow layout. With actual educated information, the focus is not on faddy short term diets, but on fuelling your body with what it needs. Full of nutritional information, that is easy to understand, not full of complicated jargon. Lots of yummy recipes included. Vegans, any recipes including meat etc are easily able to be converted to being vegan friendly. Although theres a lot i there already that is fine. My dad who rarely picks up a recipe book, and would never purchase a book like this himself, has even been interested in Rhiannon's book. The information is easy for him to understand and he's been very interested in the knowledge presented in this book. Education is key! As somebody with Hypermobility syndrome chronically/ Ehlers Danos i have to have a higher protein intake that most people, just to help my body cope with the energy it needs daily to function. But i need to do this in a healthy way. Whilst i wait for my NHS nutrition appointment, this book is going to really help me in the meantime and to also properly understand what is discussed at my appointment. Just a lovely clear, beautiful, well photographed book.Much better than wasting money on fad diets that don't last or really help. This is a book full of proper nutrition and food education.

wish it was available in German already
Especially die first half of the book gives interesting insights explaining the big topic of food and nurishment in a simple and understandable way. The author succeeds to put complicated matters into an easy to understand language while being close to the readers everyday life. I always have to restrict myself from wanting to tell everyone around me all the stuff I learned from this lecture. :) Would love a copy in German language to give to friends and family in Germany!

More than just a cookbook! Get it - you won't be disappointed.
I have followed Rhiannon on social media for a couple of years now and have always loved her ethos (we share the same wellbeing beliefs) and her generosity with sharing information that will help us all feel better - internally, mentally and physically - via our tummies. So, when she announced that she was releasing a cookbook, I pre-ordered it as soon as I could back in Feb 2017. It finally came out last month and I am so so pleased to say that it was absolutely worth the wait. To set the scene, I'm not a huge fan of cooking at all. I love eating food, especially nutritious and delicious food and I love lots of it but the thought of cooking it just feels like way too much effort, so I'd cook healthy stuff but it would be very basic and not particularly tasty. As a super busy working mum of 2 girls (11 & 1 year old), I need food to be ready quickly and I was so pleased that there are so many dishes that I can cook in bulk, portion out and freeze AND so many amazing breakfast ideas that I can prep the night before, wake up and eat, which I did this morning! There's even a breakfast cookie recipe which I can't wait to make for my husband who often has to leave the house at 5.30am so rarely eats breakfast - this will be perfect. As a PT with my own studio at home, I often only have 20 mins to eat lunch between clients - I had become lazy and was picking at food or eating protein bars loaded with artificial sugar. Today, I popped a portion of the Renourish shepherd's pie in the microwave for 2.5 mins and had an amazing lunch! Both my girls will be having a portion for tea tonight too. What I also love about this cookbook is that I can use some of the ingredients across many dishes and there are no far out there ingredients. There's nothing worse than buying ingredients that you can only use in one dish and will probably never use again! Tomorrow, I'm cooking the quinoa-crusted macaroni cheese for the family and I actually can't wait. I feel that at nearly 40, I may have turned a corner when it comes to cooking! :) Important to note that this is more than just a cookbook, the first third of the book is all about educating you on nutrition and how to face some of the mental battle of 'dieting' and over-eating. I just love it. Thank you, Rhi! I've told (demanded :)) that all of my clients get this book too.
