Q: How waterproof is this mascara? Would I be able to swim while wearing it?

I believe you could swim without the mascara smearing. I have extremely dry eyes, and have to apply artificial tears several times a day. The mascara does NOT run or smudge when I wear it, even for a full day. It is the only mascara that I can use that does not irritate my eyes.

Q: Can you get this in brown instead of very black

To my disappointment, they stopped making the black/brown years ago. I had used it for many years because it is a wonderful mascara for all the reasons described in the favorable reviews. I do not like black with my coloring: reddish blonde, blue eyes, light complexion. Black looks too harsh on me so I switched to another brand that has black/brown. I would use Lash Discovery again If they ever go back to making it in black/brown which has a warmer tone than their black, and still accents my eyelashes just as well. The brush is so easy to use, you can build layers with out clumps if you want more volume. The lashes look real with this mascara. My opthomoligist recommended it to me because I was have allergy problems with most mascaras.
