No complaints about actual part. It does not fit a Craftsman 16 gallon shopvac. This part was no longer available at craftsman, I was hoping this would fit. It does not.

It does what it was supposed to. However, the draining rate through a standard garden hose with gravity down 2-3 feet down to the drain was too slow to be particularly useful. We ended up taking off the vacuum lid and tipping the vacuum to pour out the liquid when needed rather than waiting for the water to drain through the hose. Used for emptying garden fountains when the water needed to be changed and I thought this adapter would allow us to avoid manual opening and emptying of the vacuum during that process. It didn't, so the job is pretty tedious.

I was super eager to use this drain hose adapter. Unfortunately, it did not fit the Shop-Vac brand wet-dry vacuum I was using. That may be my mistake not realizing this is not a universal size. I am confident in my Dewalt tools and have many; sadly I'm lacking the wet dry tool so this product did not help me out. I'll need to return it. Sorry about the lone stars, I wasn't sure how to rate it. I'd rather have been able to choose a box stating not applicable because I am unable to asses it.

I bought this quite a while ago. After we got a flood I attached my shop vac to this on one end and a hose on the other end going to the pit we have in the basement. I then put the suction portion of the shop vac in an area that water seemed to get into sooner. between that and a water detector and a smart plug I was able to automatically have the shop vac turn on if water was found. I wouldn't recommend this long term, we eventually got the problem repaired, however this little attachment allowed me to stress a little less during stressful times.

This worked perfectly for my DXV14P. I lost the cap and was using a random piece that fit but kept falling out when the vacuum was off. Now it works!

Authentic Dewalt part that fits as expected. Recommended for emptying with out lifting. Should be part of the kit. Maybe make the handle half the size and send this part with it, lol.

Surprised that the vacuum didn't come with this. Fits perfectly. Hope I don't have to use it

Bought this thinking I could connect it to my hose and it would drain… it never drained into the hose and since I don’t have a shop vac with a pump in it, it was completely useless. No different than just opening the drain…
