150 Ways to Play Solitaire - Complete with Layouts for Playing Paperback – April 3, 2015

For those old-school solitaire lovers, this book is a classic. I actually remember buying this book for a true solitaire freak (my baby brother) over 40 years ago, and it survived our house fire. So when I unearthed it in my mothers house after she died, it was like a blast from the past. And now, 15 years later I wanted one for myself. Am surprised there's no other book like this on the market. And this was written in 1950. Many of the instructions are not as clear as I would like them to be. And these books are not put together well, as, with use, the pages start to fall out. But I love it anyhow, probably because there is no other instructional option that I could find. I guess most people nowdays play on the computer. Oh well.

I purchased a book like this years ago and enjoyed learning all the different ways to play solitaire. When a friend of mine was preparing to retire, I decided to purchase this book for them. Partly to be funny, but partly to be useful. So if you know someone who loves solitaire, or is getting ready to retire, or maybe an over-the-hill gift, this is a great idea along with a deck of cards!

There are more ways to play solitaire than I ever imagined. This book reminds you of the tried and true methods and gives you so much more! Definitely worth it for anyone who likes individual card games.

I've owned this version of this book for nearly 30 years. I bought it from a used bookstore as a kid. It is fantastic, and stands the test of time. I have a handful of favorite games from the book that I typically play, and a some of them are almost impossible to find in digital/app form, so it's very special to have this (illustrated) reference.

My husband gave this book with 2 decks of cards for my birthday (imagine...). I really tried to use the book and played a lot but the explanations are so difficult to understand that I tried the same games over and over and they didn't work very well.I don't recommend this book.
